Mitt Romney’s going to need a good lawyer: Tulsi Gabbard is coming after him with a vengeance for the libelous lies he spread about her, having just sent a cease-and-desist letter to Mitt demanding that he stop spreading the “treasonous lies” lie about her.The brilliant, strongly worded letter (perhaps Romney could learn a thing or two about how to have a spine by reading through it a few times), starts on an unapologetically strong note, saying:Dear Senator Romney: Our firm represents former Representative and Lieutenant Colonel Tulsi Gabbard (“Representative Gabbard”) regarding false and defamatory statements you made about Representative Gabbard on Twitter. This letter concerns an urgent matter

How stupid is the Mormon Moron to publicly accuse a member of the military of TREASON? That’s a new level of low even for a politician.

All you need to know about Representative Gabbard’s attorney is: Harmeet Dhillon.

Romney is a historical disgrace.
He has a combined Juris Doctor/Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, and is knowledgeable regarding due process of law, yet he spitefully voted to impeach Donald Trump. He's the only Senator in history who voted to impeach a President of his own party. It's unforgivable because he was well aware that the "shifty Schiff" lead impeachment hearings were the exact opposite of due process.

I have an overwhelming degree of respect for this wise and highly impressive attorney - Harmeet Dhillon. I also appreciate Gabbard for ignoring her fellow Democrats’ demands she follow their Party’s orders. Romney is ‘a mess’ and will never forgive Trump for winning the presidency after ‘little Mitt’ could not, due to his own meek and clueless campaign. It looks as if ‘panties-in-a-wad Mitt will continue to be on the wrong side of history but, hopefully, with less money.

Romney is a Morman which means he believes in fairy tales. He is a smarmy prissy pants, and it is past time that someone takes him to task over his verbal nonsense.

I'm not a lawyer (though I've watched a couple YouTube videos on how to beat a traffic stop), but I thought the Westfall Act extended legislators' immunity for comments made on the floor of Congress to just about anything they say as part of their positions and responsibilities. Sounds like a squishy standard to challenge, but I wish her luck.

If we had voted in Pierre D, we probably would have gotten Hillary. Instead, we got PDJT and the exposure of the Deep State. Now we have a poor brainless man who is destroying the Democrat party. God has a plan. Sometimes it's hard to understand, but I believe He is still with us.

This is all a bunch of theater since Article 1, section 6 of the Constitution basically prohibits slander/libel suits against any member of Congress.

Woo wee! Mittens better start rubbing his magic underwear. He’s in a world of hurt and Tulsi and her team of attorneys are not going to back down. It’s about time this sanctimonious fop is taken down a peg or two. This is going to be a joy to watch unfold. Go Tulsi and Harmeet and associates!

I remember when, in the late sixties, some young college student called the professor dad of the girl I was dating a fascist.
He lifted that kid off his feet, pinning him to a wall, and declared "I fought in a war against fascists. How dare you call me one."

A US Senator should not be able to call a commissioned officer in the US Army as being a traitor without being able to prove that or risk being held liable under the civil laws. That’s common sense, as the crime of treason is stated in the US Constitution and could subject that commissioned officer to a general court martial and a sentence of death in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

I hope she takes him to the cleaners and gets everything, and whatever else, he has - so happy to see that she has Harmeet Dhillon as her attorney - go get him Tulsi and hang him out to dry, for good, so we never have to hear from him, ever, again

I sympathize with Rep. Gabbard but this probably won't go anywhere. As a "public figure", she doesn't get the same libel/slander protection that the rest of us do.

#9: Romney voted to convict, not impeach. Impeachment is done by the House.
#17: the protection you're referring to only applies when the member of Congress is speaking from the House/Senate floor.
