Rhode Island Dems Push Bill That Would

State lawmakers in Rhode Island are pushing legislation that would require every person in the state 16 years of age and older to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and punish those who refuse to do so. Local outlet NBC 10 reported Tuesday that two state Senators have removed their names from the bill, Bill S.2552. NBC 10 noted that those who violate the proposed mandate would “face a civil penalty of $50 and shall owe twice the amount of personal income taxes.” Employers would be responsible to enforce the mandate and require vaccine proof from employees or face a $5,000 fine for each worker who is unvaccinated.

How can this possibly be Constitutional???

Attack on Democracy: Democrats Still Believe

If you insist that the 2020 election was stolen, you’ll be accused of pushing “the big lie,” inciting an insurrection, and attacking democracy. But if you believe that Hillary Clinton was the legitimate winner of the 2016 election, that just makes you a Democrat. Allegations of Trump/Russia collusion have been repeatedly debunked. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the allegations turned up no evidence, and special counsel John Durham is currently investigating the origins of the Trump/Russia collusion hoax. Yet, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey, 72% of Democrats still believe that Russia “succeeded” in altering the outcome of the 2016 election, putting Donald Trump in the White House.

Barack Obama’s sumptuous Hawaiian waterfront mansion is squared away, and he is done reminding Joe Biden that he is far more popular than the present hapless pseudo-president, so what’s a wealthy alleged elder statesman with time on his hands to do? Obama could have taken up surfing or beekeeping or started appearing in movies playing the president, but instead, he appears to have decided to go to war against the freedom of speech. Two weeks ago, he called for “regulatory measures” to rein in online “disinformation,” and on Thursday he amplified that call, claiming that the First Amendment simply doesn’t apply to the social media giants

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who appears to know pretty much nothing about pretty much everything, has a new boogeyman: “militarily and defense based” U.S. foreign policy. We need to really look at our foreign policy, and approach and change and shift our foreign policy to not just be militarily and defense based, but to also be climate defense based, and diplomatically based, and… uh… that right there I think is really where we’re going to have to push —

I’ll admit to forgetting this was a thing, but apparently, Democrat activists are still trying to get Marjorie Taylor Greene thrown off the 2022 ballot under the guise that she promoted an insurrection. What’s the evidence to support such a contention? Apparently, the use of common historical terms and the movie “Independence Day.” I’m not kidding. Greene took the stand, and what followed was just bonkers. Here’s a taste of how silly things got. [Video] Greene previously used the phrase “we will not go quietly into the night,” which prompted a showing of “Independence Day” in the courtroom (again, I’m not kidding),

These are rough times for the Democrats. Everywhere they look, November’s midterm elections are like a freight train rushing down a mountain with no brakes, hurtling toward them as they struggle helplessly while tied to the tracks. They have been losing Latino voters since Trump was president. Now the youth vote — a usually reliable demographic for the Dems — has decidedly soured on the septuagenarian disaster that’s occupying the Oval Office. It’s plain for all to see that Biden’s puppet masters and the Democrats in Congress don’t have any ideas that will cause a major course correction before the midterms. That can only mean one thing:

A few days ago, the New York Times ran yet another article questioning former President Donald Trump's status as a kingmaker within the Republican Party. Author Shane Goldmacher offers some interesting data points: for example, the fact that Trump's political action committee has a war chest of $120 million-plus. (If a March article in Politico is correct, that's $10 million more than Trump had just one month ago, and more than double what either the Republican National Committee or the Democratic National Committee has in their coffers.) Goldmacher mocks the aspiring GOP candidates who visit Mar-a-Lago (Trump's Palm Beach home) as "supplicants," "sycophants" and "Trump whisperers."

I really am flummoxed by the ineptitude of President Joe Biden and his chief of staff, Ron Klain. Biden has been a Washington politician for half a century, including eight years as vice president and before that a senior senator. Klain is a consummate Washington insider, having worked for Janet Reno, Al Gore, Biden and others. How are they this inept? Last summer, the border got swamped with migrants. They sent Vice President Kamala Harris south of the border and the situation never improved. Activists accused border patrol agents of whipping refugees with horsewhips. The White House condemned the act. But an investigation recently revealed no immigrants were whipped.

To defend against a bully, you must set good boundaries. That kind of boundary setting
