Much has been made about the dire prospects for the Democratic Party in November. Mid-term elections almost always see an electoral erosion for the party in power, and when that party’s president is struggling with opinion polls, the consequences can be severe. For the Democrats, President Joe Biden has somehow managed to reach historically low approval ratings, and leftwing political prognosticators are undoubtedly feeling nauseated as they read the tea leaves. But what about the next presidential election cycle? What about 2024? Does the future look any brighter for Democrats? It may be a long way off but consider this fact:

Comments:

It's interesting that neither Bernie nor Hillary are on it.

They will push Booty Boy and AOC to the top of the list. Democrats are always about Firsts when it comes to elections. First Gay and First Hispanic candidates. Matches the pattern we’ve seen time and again.

If Newsome runs he will probably get the nomination and have billions of dollars at his disposal. The media will frame him as a 'fresh face' and 'moderate voice'.

I'm very wary of this. The Reps have done very little about the corrupted machines, handout money, vote harvesting as well as illegal votes. Plus all the hype is to keep people from voting because it's supposedto be a in the bag.

Even though yours truly took a two-week hiatus from his weekly documentation of supreme stupidity, knuckleheadedness itself did not take a vacation. In fact, the phenomenon was clearly working as feverishly as ever, then switched into overdrive this week. Up until Thursday evening, the front runner for Knucklehead of the Week had been President Joe Biden’s Press Secretary, the inestimable Karine Jean-Pierre. But after Thursday’s bizarre, occult-like speech from Mr. Biden, our Commander-in-Chief sealed the deal as we bestow the honor upon him for a record sixth time. Congratulations, Mr. President, how proud you must be.

Concern for Queen Elizabeth’s health has surfaced once again, as the monarch has decided to withdraw from attending the Braemar Gathering in Scotland on Sept. 3. Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that the 96-year-old’s son Prince Charles will make an appearance in her absence and represent her at the Highland Games event. The choice to not allow the sovereign to travel was for “comfort” and mobility considerations, a source told The Mirror. The Queen also recently pulled out of visiting London to appoint the newest Prime Minister and to say goodbye to former PM Boris Johnson next week.

The woman who fumed “F–k New York” after she was randomly slapped on a Manhattan train last week said she’s considering ditching her hometown for Florida. Vesly Beato, 22, bashed the current crime streak in the Big Apple with a now-viral TikTok video following the unprovoked attack — and continued doing so in a Wednesday night interview with The Post. “I don’t feel that comfortable in New York anymore,” she said from her mother’s Upper Manhattan apartment. “It’s not the same… New York is not what it used to be.” Beato’s change of heart came after she was smacked across the face by a man on a northbound 1 train last Friday

You know, just as she reviles the British royal family, even as she clings to her title and accepts money from her father-in-law, the future king, who reportedly subsidized her and Harry’s $14.5 million mansion, purchased for their privacy.

Pell Grant recipients demonstrated financial need beyond that for the student loans of which there are those with lower interest rates, and those with higher interest rates, those from the Federal Government, and those from private entities. One of former President Donald Trump’s strongest and most endearing personality traits is his relentless sense of humor. He’s a very funny guy. Depending on the day’s events and available subject matter, a television interview can come across like a sitcom script, sprinkled amongst some profound takes on political topics, and rants at some of his rallies can rival those of some of today’s best stand-up comedians. We’ve had humorous presidents before, with Ronald Reagan quickly coming to mind, but none at the level of Trump. And despite the intense friction in today’s political climate and national tensions having been ratcheted to previously unseen levels after last week’s outrageous Mar-a-Lago Raid,

Is this the funniest comedy you’ll never see — because of cancel culture? In 2016, Jamie Foxx, 54, and Jeremy Piven, 57, started filming “All-Star Weekend,” a movie about two NBA-obsessed friends in Indiana. Piven’s character is Steph Curry’s biggest fan, while Foxx’s worships LeBron James. The pair win tickets to the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles and on their way out west, they run into a cast of wacky characters and find themselves in a dangerous situation with their hoop idols. The premise and the cast, which includes Robert Downey Jr., Benicio del Toro, Gerard Butler and Eva Longoria, seem like a slam dunk.

One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.

Less than a week ago, the tragedy of four brutal murders in New Mexico appeared to be a windfall for Democrats. It was a perfect, yet bloody, scenario for the party that doesn’t hesitate to try and exploit every and any tragedy that fits their larger narrative. And while we can’t be sure that any Democrats were actually happy about four men being dead, we know that internally they were thrilled about the circumstances. We could almost see them doing cartwheels in their heads as they discussed the matter. Muslims, of course, are included in the Democrats’ intersectional hierarchy of victimhood.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a law Friday that will decriminalize jaywalking across California, ending the familiar practice of police handing out tickets to pedestrians on the argument that the law is enforced more often against minorities than other people. The new law, AB 2147, known as the “Freedom to Walk Act,” could bring an end to a cultural difference that has marked otherwise libertine Californians as being uniquely deferential to laws governing pedestrian traffic. The difference between Californians, who ostensibly tend to obey “don’t walk” signals, and urban dwellers elsewhere in the country, who are notoriously defiant when it comes to crossing against traffic signals, was lampooned

This week’s mystery has initiated a storm of speculation: What happened to cause leaks in Russia’s Nord Stream 1 and 2, designed to send gas to Germany? A good example of more rational speculation is by Jed Babbin at the Spectator: He thinks Russia is the most likely suspect: Germany, Sweden, the United States, and other NATO nations would not have attacked the pipelines. There has been some speculation among U.S. conservatives that we were responsible for the pipeline attacks.
