Elon Musk has slammed 'unwatchable' Netflix for becoming infected by the 'woke mind virus' as the streaming giant hemorrhages subscribers. The US company lost 200,000 users between January and March this year, a quarterly report announced yesterday, causing shares to plummet by 25 per cent, with a further 2million subscribers set to leave by June. The service is now proposing introducing adverts and stopping password sharing to stem the exodus, which it is trialing in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru in a bid to clamp down on the estimated 10million households who use someone else's account.

Maybe they should try to produce programs that people actually want to watch instead of continuing to line the pockets of the likes of Barry Obozo.

The entertainment industry exists to fill slack time. When life gets harder due to political choices, less slack time exists. Entertainment also exists to distract from hardships. Propaganda is another hardship. Disney understood. Disney's heirs do not. No one has to pay to be abused.

My oldest son with my two grandsons must have every conceivable gadget with Netflix, which they dropped, to watch tons of movies. We don't sit together in our house to watch movies all I have is TCM on DISH, all the old classics. On a visit my son talked us into getting Netflix when a free one-month trial was offered. We tried it for three days and dropped it I found one movie to watch but I could have rented it at the Red Box at the grocery store. The offerings were horrible and I must say 'childish' and stupid. We never did complete the trial so let Netflix sell their junk elsewhere more ads with all blacks won't help them either.

Our adult kids have offered us streaming memberships for gifts, which we politely decline. The ads for constant waves of vomit masquerading as entertainment leave us in the 'no thanks' camp. There are no storylines to be gleaned from the overflogged promos of slaughter porn, promiscuously destructive sexual or narcissistic expose' on the lost or revisionist historical fictions featuring copious amounts of wokist preaching. I'd agree that TCM is our favorite Time Waster Channel as well! If the schedule movie is a stinker, there's always a 'Stagecoach' or 'The Best Years Of Our Lives' On Demand. Hat Tip to Chicago's Svengoolie for his best of the worst old sci-fi & horror flicks on MeTv, Saturday nights. Beware of flying rubber chickens!

Today, the Florida House of Representatives passed the bill and sent it to Governor Ron DeSantis for signature. The bill passed by the legislature on Thursday would eliminate the Reedy Creek Improvement District, as the Disney government is known, as well as a handful of other similar districts by June 2023. A little over a decade ago, two researchers at Wharton published a paper showing that, despite women’s increasing work and educational opportunities, their self-reported happiness was in steady decline. Back in 1970, women were on average happier than men; they are now less happy than men. Broadly, since 1970, everyone has gotten more miserable. But the decline in women’s overall happiness has outpaced men’s, and the happiness curve inverted sometime in the early 1990s. The paper also documents increasing anxiety and neuroticism, as well as decreasing social cohesion among women.

Shares of Netflix plunged 37% Wednesday morning after the streamer reported earnings Tuesday evening that showed it lost subscribers for the first time in more than ten years. The results and weak outlook led to a wave of downgrades from Wall Street over fears of the company's long-term growth potential. Netflix said several headwinds are impacting growth, including competition and the easing pandemic restrictions. The company had been significantly boosted by coronavirus stay-at-home orders, as more people sought out digital entertainment. But people spent less time on digital platforms as vaccines rolled out and mandates eased. Slower household broadband growth also played a role in the company's weak forecast.

But the case for a second term is quite weak — and voters know it even if Democrats in dreamland don’t.Inflation is at its worst in 40 years, erasing wage growth. Crime is surging in many major cities. Employers are struggling with labor shortages. Illegal immigration could top 2 million encounters this year, amid a border crisis that has been spiraling out of control since virtually the moment Biden took office.
