The world’s richest man said that he doesn’t own a home and sleeps in his friends’ spare bedrooms for the most part. In a recent interview with TED’s Chris Anderson, Elon Musk says he has resorted to couch surfing. “I don’t even own a place right now, I’m literally staying at friends’ places,” explained Musk, whose estimated net worth is $269.5 billion, according to Forbes. “If I travel to the Bay Area, which is where most of Tesla’s engineering is, I basically rotate through friends’ spare bedrooms,” the father-of-seven added.

It's sad when a father of seven cannot afford to provide a home for his children. Whose couches are they using? LOL

What about his children? Do they have a place to lay their heads? I can appreciate eccentric, but I do believe one should have a home when you have children and are of his age. He certainly marches to the beat of his own drummer. Luckily, he has the required funds to do so. It would not be a lifestyle I would choose, but It’s not my business how he chooses to live. I do hope his bid for Twitter is successful though. I would love to see the leftists get their comeuppance for once.

Great if you can make it work. Look at the price of housing and you will realize many people are living like this. The Lady Chihuahua rents a house from her daughter and son in law. I sublet from the Lady Chihuahua. We both get good deals. Everything I have can fit in one room since I have decided to leave behind everything still up in New York. Downsizing! Save your money folks! Don't waste it. Especially in today's inflation environment. You are going to need every penny you have. Not going to criticize anyone living like this.

This is easier when your friends live in 36 room mansions with six or eight servants. "Hey, John, could I stay at your place for a few days?" "Sure, take the third floor west guest room. Tell the cook what you want for breakfast."

Dear Elon: You already own Twitter, you do not need to buy it. Wherever you go to post messages, that will become the new Twitter. I can program you a new messaging system, based on free speech, that will allow the users to create their own algorithms. I own my software company, and we have been writing tcp/ip and web applications for 25 years. I've got 20,000 computing threads wired up and ready to go. I can have you a working application within 45 days. For a few million dollars you can hedge your bet at least, and possibly take over the short message sharing space.

Now that coronavirus positivity rates are low, remote work proponents are no longer blaming their desire to stay home on safety concerns, but instead on the financial impacts of their daily office routine, which is far pricer than when the U.S. shut down in March 2020. Consumer prices reached 8.5 percent last month, nearly double what were in March 2021, and the highest inflation rate increase the country has seen since 1981.

A little over a decade ago, two researchers at Wharton published a paper showing that, despite women’s increasing work and educational opportunities, their self-reported happiness was in steady decline. Back in 1970, women were on average happier than men; they are now less happy than men. Broadly, since 1970, everyone has gotten more miserable. But the decline in women’s overall happiness has outpaced men’s, and the happiness curve inverted sometime in the early 1990s. The paper also documents increasing anxiety and neuroticism, as well as decreasing social cohesion among women.
