NYC pols have let the mentally ill take

The threat-laced ramblings of alleged subway shooter Frank James, now in custody, have a disturbingly familiar ring, don’t they? Sure, they’re on YouTube — but bitter mumblings of the same sort are heard all day, every day in New York’s increasingly untenable subway system. So the question of the moment is this: How long will the city accommodate — indeed, encourage — aggressive mental illness in its public spaces? Will it ever push back? How many shootings, how many slashings, how many fatal shovings and — disgustingly — how many demented excrement smearings will it take before the penny drops?

Dem pols have no compassion for the mentally ill nor those who are harmed in their path as evidenced by cities destroyed under dem leadership.. Entire cities are being destroyed by the lack of compassion of dem pols who just don't care about people. Those who cherish The Golden Rule would not behave with such disrespect toward others. America's Founder's would be astonished and dismayed at the sad state of American cities in 2022!

#6, I believe you put your finger on the root problem. Far too many in this country are morally and spiritually bankrupt. John Adams said it best and we are proving him right. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” The inmates are running the asylum and in their unbridled humanistic zeal democrats don’t even realize they have made this country a laughingstock. We are so far from what we had been and the world sees it. We have lost all respect from Americans and the entire world. It is devastating to witness our descent into godless wokeism. The path we are on is unsustainable. My prayer is that like the phoenix we can rise from the ashes with the right leadership. God help us. The illegitimate Biden administration has upset the entire world.

In reply to No. 4; The closing of the State hospitals was the result of the ACLU suing for the government to get these helpless people out of the poorly run State Hospitals by saying they needed to be free to roam around the streets because they had and have no where else to go. Thank the ACLU for all of these people being out on the streets because they are incapable of taking care of themselves. Just my opinion, but I hope it really isn't.!!!

Crazy James dropped a dime on himself, and the Mayor took credit for 'catching' James. (The term 'dropped a dime' is an expression from circa 1940s, where a tipster uses a pay phone to call the police.) For you youngsters who have no idea what a pay phone is, it has a money slot on top, accepting nickels, dimes, and quarters. You insert a coin to use it. And I'm so old I remember when a pay phone for local calls required just a nickel. Crazy James called the police on himself and Mayor Adams took a bow, claiming to have caught him.
