Sen. Ron Johnson complained Wednesday that special counsel John Durham has kept information from the public and lawmakers during his nearly three-year probe. In a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, the Wisconsin Republican cited the length and murkiness of the Durham investigation as one of the reasons he’s skeptical of appointing a special counsel to probe the business dealings of President Biden’s son Hunter. Mr. Johnson emphasized that Mr. Durham has “high integrity” but said U.S. senators have been denied access to information about what Mr. Durham is investigating.(Snip)Mr. Johnson said those issues underscore concerns about having a special counsel look into Hunter Biden’s business affairs.

I have had my doubts about Durham, but he seems to be onto something. There is not a single Senator I would trust with information as potentially explosive as as the apparent conspiracy he's following.

Good, there are very few Senators that can be trusted with the information, anyway there is no reason for the Senators to be informed until the investigation is complete and indictments are served.
As for a special prosecutor for the Hunter laptop probe I agree with Sen. Johnson I'd have little faith of anybody appointed by the commie Garland.

I don’t blame Durham. If I were him, I wouldn’t talk to ANYONE on Capitol Hill, or anyone in the DOJ.

Durham should trust no one. By now he should have discovered the heinous levels of corruption in our government. He can be a national hero if he does his job by the letter of the law, indicts the principals, and follows up with a damning report. The corruption is so deep and wide spread and he may be trying to catch big fish by keeping the details away from the press. We know the Congress leaks badly and no one should be trusted.

Even if all the corrupt FBI, CIA and DoJ folks were to get indicted by Durham, I doubt that any of them will serve even one night in jail, let alone the decades in prison that they should.
So.....Durham's stuff is likely just a distraction. ZERO real punishment so far, a few minor fines, nobody getting a serious jail term.

after 6 years of a combined Dem congress/Media/Justice dept/special investigation leak cabal constantly releasing "Damning new details", all of which later turn out to be false....Having a "Just the Facts ma'am" Guy in charge of this is NOT something I am going to complain about.

Why is Senator Johnson complaining. He supposedly had the information from Huncher's laptop for almost a year and did nothing with it. Finally now talking about it since the Wapo said it was really his.

I keep hearing that Durham has integrity and is carefully building his case...all I know for sure is that Durham's pace of progress gives millions of little snails across the land hope that they too can be an ace government employee someday.

Three years and many millions spent, and what are the results so far. One conviction for a law clerk who was caught red handed by people outside the Durham investigation, and who already is back practicing law with a hand slap. And now we have that lying to the FBI charge, a procedure crime. Whew, whew. Excuse the sarcasm, but I expect a little more from 3 years and millions of dollars.

Keep in mind, he was delayed by the lawsuits filed by those he's investigating regarding the information he was requesting. That was only resolved about 1 year ago.
Thus, his team has had to pour over that information, and it seems they are finding things, which is likely why those lawsuits were filed.
We've seen the likes of the NYT, WaPo and others correct their official records which is likely to avoid lawsuits against them.
We've also seen both the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaigns pay fines for peddling the fake Steele Dossier.
We also see Sussmann under the gun for what looks like falsifying billing records, and now likely lying to the FBI (which is a felony).
How quickly can this elevate up to Marc Elias who was a partner in Perkins Coie, but who was quickly bought out of his partnership (about the same time many of the pieces started to tumble).
And, if you simply read Paul Sperry's article from March 22,2019 (Dossier Tied Firm Pitches Reporters Daily on "Collusion") regarding The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP). You'll see how many people seem to be connected to a potential conspiracy.

If that's what it takes to keep critical information from falling into traitorous hands then so be it.

When the entire government is corrupt from top to bottom in a depth unimaginable to a Banana Republic nation from the 1970s, any information shared with them will only give them time to hide their crimes. Meanwhile, with Hunter, there's talk of a new special counsel appointed by a crooked and hyperpartisan attorney general who was appointed by the pResident, to investigate the pResident's son.
