The president of NBC News has been forced to hold a meeting with staff outraged over the network's decision to hire Jen Psaki as an MSNBC host.Noah Oppenheim held the call with staffers at the network's Washington DC bureau over their fears that hiring the White House press secretary will tarnish the brand. According to CNN, Oppenheim told his journalists that Psaki would only appear on MSNBC, which is known for its left-wing opinion shows, and not NBC News itself, which bills itself as a neutral news network. She is said to have informally agreed to host an MSNBC show that'll be screened on the Peacock streaming service.

"Tarnish the Brand" Yep that's a big joke. Tarnish a brand that looks like old corroded car battery terminals.

At least the staff is outraged; they know they can't go any lower before the network ghosts. The streaming service is probably already a short step away from being shuttered.

Please tarnish that brand! It’s blinding! It hurts the eye to look at! What an organization! If we all could aspire to work for such a super cool shiny brand!

They worry about Psaki tarnishing MSNBC's reputation? That shop has sailed long ago with their other hosts. Al Sharpton, Joy Reid, Jo'e & Mika, Andrea Mitchell, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, and a whole host of other crazies. They might make Paski look truthful.

Whoa, hold on a second. Journalists working for NBC and company are mad Raggedy Ann is landing on their doorstep? I thought they loved her? She represents the WH, and I guess they don't love that anymore either. The evidence of a schism between the WH and media just keeps on coming.

Poster 22 you beat me to that statement as I nearly laughed myself out of my office chair from laughing so hard. Neutral news network my hinny. Also with all of the losers over at MSDNCNBC the hiring of Jen Raggedy Ann Psaki would no more "tarnish the brand" anymore than if they hired that clown Petie Booty-Gauge.

Of course, it never stopped a single one of their alleged journalists from asking other than a butt-kissing question of her in a press briefing.
