Big Business’s Alliance With The Political
Left Is Turning Into A Major Strategic Blunder

The biggest Occupy Wall Street wasn’t anarchic tent encampments, but the new hires entering the corporate suites. Contrary to what many expected, when campus radicals entered the real world, they changed it. And so Wall Street and Big Business have gone woke, with rainbow flags and Black Lives Matter banners and critical race theory as a routine part of employee training. Furthermore, the right-wing expectation that businesses that “go woke, go broke” has fallen flat. A few corporations have taken a hit to the bottom line, but most have found that going woke is just fine for business.

Comments:

Opportunity knocks. If you're a conservative with the means to do it, now is the time to start a venture to compete with these clowns.

So did many, many people walk away from the NFL, NLB, Olympics, NBA, Women Soccer...the answer is yes...the same will happen to Disney...they may not go broke...but they will be poorer...

Liberalism is like cancer. It spreads everywhere. These were good institutions until liberalism took over: Family friendly businesses.-— Boy Scouts of America— Disney— Churches of major denominations— Universities— The Armed Forces— Professional Sports— Hollywood (in the early years)— T.V. (Used to be watchable)— Music— Art— You can add to the list.

Trouble is over the years so much commerce has been "conglomerated" that it is difficult to find alternatives. Seems the only family stores left are Asian donut stores, nail /hair salons and a few barber shops.

Business goes with the flow. Coca-Cola pushes USA! USA! USA! when it suits its purposes. (It does the same nationalism schtick in every country the stuff is sold.) Business sees the LEFT as the leader in forming and reforming American social and political thought. It's jumping in because it sees a popular wave toward...fill in the blank. They can afford to insult men (especially white men) in commercials because their market is women - for virtually everything, from cars/SUVs to air freshener. It's no longer a man's world in sales pitches. Boycott. Whatever. It's hard not to see the wave of social change, from "social justice" to "sustainable lifestyles". Conservatives react to the change, but rarely turn it back significantly, and more rarely for long when they do.

I think this is fake news, those corporations got what was coming to them and drops in sales and profits are solid proof. Many places that served Coke in my area no longer do so. Movie theaters are empty and I wouldn't know what NFL stadiums look like and there is nobody to ask because none of my friends watch football any more. The sharp rise in prices in major department and fast food show that they lost a lot of money somewhere and are trying to recoup losses. The new Whopper Melt has been taking heat for being so tiny, on the order of Giant Shrimp. Golf was the only thing I have watched lately and they are trying to commit Seppuku also, showing little black kids taking golf lessons, including the usual participants in commercials and now suddenly everything is Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. I have a feeling I will be dropping that as well. The worst-hit cities are trying desperately to attract tourists, the same places you see constant carjackings and murders, New York, San Francisto, Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans, the entire state of Michigan. They can hide results short term but catastrophic failures like Disney eventually reveal the truth. Will Smith is History. Wokeness is Wonderful!

the communist left is an entity that, like terrorists, is never satisfied with any proposition and / or solution to any problem, their aim is to foment chaos and unrest until the party they're harassing gives in, completely, and then, like Black Lives Matter, drain the living essence of its "opponent" until it is driven into oblivion and, as long as they have the alphabet channels and the print media they will continue their pursuit of destruction and delusion/illusion unimpeded

I despise these woke businesses that have replaced business with activism for the Democrat Party. The shareholders in mutual funds have to regain their voting power, instead of the woke proxy votes of Blackrock, Vanguard, Fidelity, and State Street. The corporate boardrooms have been taken over by leftists, while the Republicans are sleeping. Individual stockholders should vote against the current boards of woke corporations.

Last week, a Louisiana appellate court reinstated Attorney General Jeff Landry’s lawsuit challenging Mark Zuckerberg’s infiltration of the state election system with private “Zuck Bucks” that flooded the country during the 2020 election. The lawsuit, State of Louisiana v. Center for Tech and Civic Life, originated in October 2020. That’s when Louisiana, through Landry, sought a court order declaring that “private contributions to local election officials and the election system in general are unlawful and contrary to Louisiana law.” Landry’s lawsuit followed attempts by the Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life to dole out millions in targeted grants to election officials throughout the state.

A common trope in popular culture is that if you commit crimes against the weak, particularly children, prison won’t be kind to you. There are many in there who committed all manner of horrific crimes but who, whether because of life experience or their own sense of justice, don’t take kindly to those who abuse children. In fact, “don’t take kindly” is quite an understatement. When it comes to those who, like the ones who many say were given a slap on the wrist by Kentanji Jackson, commit crimes involving child pornography or abusing kids, “prison justice”

The White House said this week it plans to release up to 180 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves, a million barrels a day for 180 days, to help bring down near-record gas prices that were climbing before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but have since spiked. It will be the largest release of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve since it was established in the early 1970s, and it probably won’t work. The specific reasons it probably won’t work — congestion on the Gulf Coast, a possible reduction in supply from Saudi Arabia and other oil producers,

Two years ago, far-left California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, established a task force with the assigned mission of examining slavery reparations. From the beginning, it was clear that the outcome from the task force wasn’t going to be if it would recommend reparations, that was a foregone conclusion. The only question was to whom such reparations should be given. On Tuesday, that task force finally made their recommendation, and they may also have given a hint that whatever steps were to be taken would only be the beginning. After a lengthy debate and prior to holding the actual vote, the vice-chair of the task force,

Judicial confirmation hearings are rarely illuminating. Since the introduction of television cameras, they mostly serve as a way for senators to say what they want their constituents to hear and for judicial nominees to say as little as possible. Nothing is learned, at least not on purpose. But occasionally, we learn something by accident. At Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing on Tuesday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee asked a seemingly innocuous question: “Can you provide a definition of the word ‘woman’?”

It is painfully obvious, as was predictable, that Joe Biden’s presidency is a dumpster fire. As demonstrated by the party’s destructive callousness towards children, the elderly, and the poor during their Covid lockdown frenzy, Democrats care about none of these real-world results of their policies. But they do care about polling, and Joe Biden’s is abysmal. According to even heavily politicized polls, Biden is at least performing as badly as Donald Trump. Biden is between the third- and fifth-most ratings-underwater president ever in American history at this point in his first term.

Pope Francis, a leading advocate of Doormat Christianity, is at it again, trying to reverse nearly two millennia of Christian doctrine, by preaching total passivity—even against violent aggression. On March 18, 2022, Francis declared before an audience that “A war is always—always!—the defeat of humanity, always. We, the educated, who work in education, are defeated by this war, because on another side we are responsible.” So far, all well and good, if only because such lofty but impotent words are expected. But then Francis went so far as to say, “There is no such thing as a just war: they do not exist!” That is a remarkably dangerous claim, of similar naïve thinkers—
