Former Alaska Governor and John McCain running mate Sarah Palin announced on Friday her bid to represent Alaska in the U.S. Congress. The announcement came following the death of Republican Rep. Don Young in March who served Alaska in the House of Representatives for more than 40 years.Appearing on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Monday, Palin said she’s ready for the predictable manufactured outrage the left will undoubtedly pour on her. “You know, I would never be so cocky as to say bring it on, but yes I anticipate that when I walk down that hall to get my diet Dr. Pepper, sure the jackals are going to be there

OK, I get she's running, and I like her but some on our side treat it like it's Margaret Thatcher reincarnate. Let's stay level-headed about this candidacy and see what she brings substantively.

My response to #1 and #2 - she brought energy to a campaign that was not really invested. I signed up in our local city to volunteer at the McCain campaign office and he shut the office down two weeks before the election. It sounds like Sarah Palin was ready but McCain wasn't. Makes a big difference concerning your comments.

But the case for a second term is quite weak — and voters know it even if Democrats in dreamland don’t.Inflation is at its worst in 40 years, erasing wage growth. Crime is surging in many major cities. Employers are struggling with labor shortages. Illegal immigration could top 2 million encounters this year, amid a border crisis that has been spiraling out of control since virtually the moment Biden took office.

Less than 20 minutes later, police sent an update: "The aircraft no longer poses a threat to the Capitol," and USCP said that buildings in the complex were being prepared for re-entry. Its message did not contain further information about the aircraft police had initially deemed a "probable threat."
