A major energy supplier is giving away electric blankets to customers in a bid to help with soaring heating bills as the cost of living crisis continues to hit homes across the UK. Octopus Energy has sent out the heated blankets to thousands of its customers as it says it will will those who are struggling with rising gas and energy costs. Many households' energy bills are skyrocketing due to an increase in the price cap to almost £2,000 which went up at the start of April. The uplift in the price cap equates to an estimated £700 increase on the average annual energy bill in Britain.

So nice to see the pounds sign instead of that crummy Euro sign. The Pound isn't the same as it once was but so too the Dollar is basically worthless thanks to Diaper Joe.

The blankets plug directly into the wind turbines, do they? This sounds like a Buttigieg plan -- can't afford heat? Buy an electric car.

The climate zealots believe we really are stupid. What use is another device that will only add cost to an already oppressive expense? Do they think we don’t understand that electricity is not free even if the devices are? The world has gone climate mad because the ultra elites want it that way. They sit in their ivory towers pulling strings which only makes our lives miserable while they wallow in the luxury of endless energy consumption. This is a war against the middle class by an elite group of individuals who actually believe that they, not free men and women should chart their own destinies. You will own nothing and be happy. I don’t think so, buddy.

The Pentagon will eliminate the sole nuclear gravity bomb in the U.S. strategic weapons arsenal capable of blasting deeply buried underground structures as part of the Biden administration‘s review of strategic weapons policy, according to U.S. officials. The retirement of the B83 bomb, a megaton-class weapon delivered by B-2 stealth bombers, was disclosed to Congress last month as part of the Biden administration’s classified nuclear posture review, a major reassessment of strategic forces and their employment. The bomb is “costly to maintain and of increasingly limited value,” a senior defense official told The Washington Times.(Snip)Supporters of the B83 say it is still needed for deterring China,
