Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is crushing his potential Democrat challengers in the Sunshine State’s upcoming gubernatorial race, a Saint Leo University survey released this week found.
DeSantis, who has continued to ignore leftist critics and pursue policies empowering individuals and parents alike, is soundly defeating his potential opposition by double digits. In a potential matchup against Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL), for example, DeSantis leads by 16 percentage points — 49 percent to Crist’s 33 percent.
Similarly, DeSantis crushes one of his most outspoken opponents, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried (D), by 24 percent, or 51 percent to her 27 percent support:

One of the few sane politicians left in the country.

Dems will throw up a sacrificial lamb sock puppet to run against DeSantis because they know being crushed by the Governor will permanently paint his opponent as a loser. That taint will then even doom them against DeSantis's successor because we know the Governor is destined for even higher office.

Great to see a traitorous snake like Crist getting ;pounded like this.

Fried is surely one of the most vapid, tacky, incompetent, robotic, workshy harpies ever to seek office. Her campaign is strictly Amateur Night, right down to her staged 'pressers' in which a pitiful couple of microphones held by her own staffers are meant to suggest actual media coverage. During the pandemic she did the frazzled hair-in-a-scarf act while she supposedly distributed supplies at a...refugee camp? Where did such a camp exist in FL and why, many sane people asked?
It's been amusing to watch her finally come to grips with reality as her tweets become more frantic, personal and bizarre. But, as you know, the scary and dangerous part is the (apparent) number of idiots who share her IQ and inch-deep understanding of issues. These are the 'proud Dem' and 'vote Blue' types who won't admit to luxuriating in the oasis of freedom provided by DeSantis and would never dream of relocating to one of their extant blue states like CA, IL, PA, MN, OR, NY for obvious reasons. They still cite DeSantis' electoral margin but never get round to mentioning the fate of their candidate Gillum.
Hypocrite is far too gentle a term for them.

We have another crazy person Rebecca Jones running against Matt Gaetz. She has a troubled past and lived in New York area. She’s running a revenge campaign against DeSantis by challenging Gaetz. She falsely claimed Florida fudged Covid cases to open schools and drop masks. She’s a nut!

She also uses a trendy spelling Rebekah.

Charlie Crist is like something you would scrape off the bottom of your shoe after walking through a NYC bus terminal at midnight.

My wife and I moved to Florida a number of years ago from New York. Smart move on our part. Lower taxes, no state income tax, lower housing costs, what's not to like. Having DeSantis as Governor is very different than the sfacim that was in office when I left. Keep up the good work Ron. Trump 2024.

This is great to hear but not a surprise. The best thing, in the absence of a presidential race, a popular Republican governor will pull in Republican votes for a Senator and Congressmen as well. Maybe a couple of the 10 Florida dem Congressmen can be pushed out?

How is it that Florida voters can elect the best governor in the U.S. while simultaneously electing some real clunkers to Congress?

Christ has made his living by sucking up taxpayers money in any way he can. A more accurate description is: Rep.Charlie Christ (Republican/Democrat/Independent/Democrat) Florida. There's only the communist party left Charlie, go for it.

If you're talking about Rubio, #10, trust me when I tell you that you would not want to see his opponent slither into that senate seat.

Would that other Republicans could learn from Governor DeSantis, but they won't, just as they failed to learn from Reagan and Trump. Even if we give them power in the Congress, and especially if they keep the same so-called "leadership", they will continue to inhale deeply of the swamp gas, remain fearful of criticism from the left, and try to "reach across the aisle" to people who only wish to destroy them. Where do the people go to find a Party with a backbone?

That Charlie "The Traitor" C(h)rist(odoulos) is always out for Charlie, no one else. The only reason he got elected where he is is his last name and the fact that Greeks, regardless of any self interest, any supposed Christian morality, or the even character of the politicians involved, will always vote for a Greek.

If he keeps this up, he would make an excellent candidate for 2024. I think the Uniparty knows this as well. So the attacks will keep coming, for they cannot afford another sane guy running for president.
