President Joe Biden said Thursday that record gas prices were caused by the pandemic and Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine as he unveiled a two-pronged plan to increase supply and reduce demand. He announced he would release a million barrels of oil per day from the nation's strategic reserve for the next six months and accelerate the switch to electric vehicle. But his analysis of the cause of the crisis will attract criticism for opponents who accuse him of shifting the blame for his administration's economic woes.

RE #3:
Not only that. I live in a condo complex. There are plenty of parking spaces but not one single electric car charger. We rent so putting one in for personal use is out of the question, plus the parking is too far from my condo for the cord.
Meanwhile, my 2017 Toyota has just over 20k miles, runs great and gets me where I need to go. And both my payment and insurance are reasonable and within my budget.
Far as I'm concerned, Dementia Joe can just stick one of his used diapers on his head and inhale!!

Does he expect anyone to believe the pile of horse crap he shovels out every day? $80 a month? HA! Joe spends that much every day on booze for lunch.

Oh sure, buy an overpriced electric car that won't go anywhere and you'll be spending a whole lot more than the so-called savings of $80.

Telling someone to buy an electric care in order to save money from not buying gasoline, is just as stupid as telling them to eat in restaurants to avoid the high prices of groceries.

First of all, most Americans cannot afford an electric car. They can't afford a charging station and have no where to put one. Every gas station will have to put in several charging stations. People will get tired of waiting in a long line for all the cars on the highways to get a charge because it takes a while to charge up. Who knows how much charging one's car will cost. There are millions of gas guzzling cars all over the world. Where are they going to put put after they no longer are being used? Please ask Traitor Joe those questions.

And how is that one million barrels going to be distributed across the U.S.? We have a shortage of truck drivers, biteme cancels pipelines, there is not an endless supply of train tanker cars….does anyone in the administration have any knowledge of logistics? Sheesh!

Hey Joe, find a chimpanzee and sniff it's hair, the rear end hair...we KNOW why gas is so damned high and it wasn't Putin...it was YOU closing the Keystone and shutting down drilling permits...and if we can't afford high gas, how can we afford a high priced EV?? And $80 a month will just about buy us a steak in your inflated economy...why don't you exit stage left???

TaliBiden campaigned on shutting down the US oil industry so the price of gas began to rise within 48 hours of his being declared the winner on 11/4/20. I was already paying 75% more for a gallon before Putin ever mentioned Ukraine.

If we aren't building a lot more electric power plants to meet the increased demand for electric powered cars, the "savings" are just sales talk.

Using round numbers, say a decent used car costs 20K . A new electric vehicle costs 50k. Based on Joe's proposed "savings" of $960/yr, it will take more than 31 years to make up the difference. That's without including the added cost of a charging station.

Biden is a joke, as even low level electric cars in the USA cost over $60,000.00, what bank is going to loan the average American such an amount of money to purchase an electric motor vehicle?
Word is that the Chinese are going to import a new Made in China electric car to the USA called the “Rickshaw” that will cost Americans about $8,000 a pop. In that respect, will we find out that a Biden has been appointed to the board of directors of that new Chinese electric automobile manufacturer? Something like that would not be out of the question these days for that to happen.

Yes BUT... The wrecker fees will mount up for towing an electric car with a dead battery back to where your charger is. The increased cost of the car raises your monthly car payments. The increased weight of the car increases your insurance and the extra weight reduces yours and everyone else's safety. And finally - as oil prices go up eventually all energy prices go up - including electricity.
Plus we already know that the cost of solar and wind generated electricity is about 5 times higher than fossil fuel electricity but the government forces the power companies to buy the expensive solar energy at that higher wholesale price and sell it for the much lower price of the fossil fuel generated electricity. It's a good thing that green energies make up so little of the total electricity sold so that the loss from that source can be made up by the profit of the other. But when the government forces green energies to dominate then the cost will eventually have to go up to the real cost which will raise your power bill by a factor of five.

Who was stupid and dishonest enough to buy oil from Russia?
Who was stupid and dishonest enough to give us our current energy policy?
This is all on Biden, and the people that put him there.
Meanwhile the world moves away from the dollar. Watch your spending folks. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
F Joe Biden!
