The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Thursday became the first federal agency to fly the “trans pride flag,” Axios reported. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra tweeted a photo of the “trans pride flag” outside the Hubert Humphrey building on Thursday morning, accompanied by a statement of support for the transgender activist agenda. “On this International #TransDayofVisibility, I say to our transgender communities: we see you, we stand with you, and we will be there for you.(Snip)While HHS is the first federal agency to fly a “trans pride flag,” federal government buildings have repped the LGBTQ+ agenda by flying pride flags in recent years. A homeless woman told not to panhandle outside a Florida gas station doused a clerk with gasoline and set her on fire, sheriff officials said. Betty Jean McFadden, 30, was charged with attempted murder in the gruesome attack at a Circle K gas station in Pensacola, where she was told earlier Wednesday to leave, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. McFadden left, but returned at about 1 p.m. Wednesday with a gas can and attacked the female clerk by dousing her with fuel she “panhandled” before throwing matches at her and setting her on fire, sheriff’s officials said. Kamala Harris is facing increased criticism for continued gaffes and inappropriate laughter during public appearances, with one former Trump-era speech writer saying her rhetoric 'undermines American diplomacy' on the world stage. 'America's allies and partners expect our leaders to speak with coherence and clarity on issues that matter to them,' former speechwriter for ex-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo David Wilezol told DailyMail.com in a statement.(Snip)'We also recognized, just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic,' Harris said.

Washington’s multitrillion-dollar spending habit has driven inflation across the U.S. higher than in most other Western democracies, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
A report released on Wednesday by the bank said the U.S. inflation rate spiked higher than other countries in March 2021, shortly after Congress passed President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package. “Fiscal support measures designed to counteract the severity of the pandemic’s economic effect may have contributed to this divergence by raising inflation about 3 percentage points by the end of 2021,” analysts wrote.(Snip)“Both Democrats and Republicans have dangerously inflated prices by pumping trillions into the economy since the onset

In the year since the federal government allocated $1.9 trillion to a pandemic stimulus package, Minnesota has used some of the cash on everything from the expected—supporting hospitals and students—to boosting participation in the Girl Scouts and providing financial aid to crime victims. And there's more to spend. State government has yet to decide how to use more than a third of its $2.8 billion. Cities, towns and counties have until the end of 2026 to spend their $2.1 billion.(Snip)Congressional Republicans have derided the bill, arguing that the $1.9 trillion package helped spur inflation, and state legislators are calling for audits of the massive spending.

The father and son duo hailed as heroes for fighting off a pack of goons robbing an elderly woman near their Queens pizza shop said Wednesday the city’s crime scourge has forced them to take public safety into their own hands. “People have to protect themselves, because the government is not doing it,” Cazim Suljovic, 68, told The Post from his bed at Elmhurst Hospital, where he’s recovering from a punctured lung and nine stab wounds. “There is no law. This is why the people do it. You can stand outside your own door, with many people in the street, and you’re still not safe.”

A man jailed for just 14 months after he dragged an NYPD detective in a stolen car, leaving him paralyzed, has been caught once again after leading cops on a chase in a stolen car—while being out on bail for a separate car chase. Justin Murrell, 20, led officers from the Port Authority on a chase in a stolen car at John F. Kennedy Airport in February. The stolen car was found days later and was linked to him through surveillance video, which captured him allegedly stealing cars at both New York's LaGuardia and JFK airports. Murrell was arrested on Monday as he left a courthouse in Brooklyn.

A 70-year old California man who has spent four decades in prison for kidnapping a bus full of children and burying them alive could be freed if Gov. Gavin Newsom approves his parole. A wild sucker-punch was thrown during a high school track race in Florida over the weekend. The punch occurred at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee on Saturday. According to Canadian Running Magazine, the incident happened during a 1,600-meter race.
TMZ cites witnesses as saying that the athlete who threw the punch was not involved in the race. He was reportedly standing on the track, and the runner in first place—who ultimately got punched—told him to move out of the way. During the next lap, instead of moving, the athlete reportedly further impeded the first-place runner, who pushed him over. In apparent retaliation,

The Washington Post has finally admitted Hunter Biden's laptop is real, nine months after first receiving a copy and a full year after DailyMail.com authenticated it. The Post had cyber forensics experts validate material on the abandoned laptop hard drive, using similar methods that experts hired by DailyMail.com used back in March 2021.
After months of publishing articles suggesting the laptop could be Russian disinformation, the analysis published by the newspaper on Wednesday marks a startling u-turn. Its admission also follows the New York Times, which quietly noted 1,200 words into a long story published earlier this month that it had also validated material from the laptop.

The Biden administration is planning to scrap a Trump-era public health policy restricting illegal immigration by May 23—despite repeated warnings from Democratic lawmakers who represent border states, according to multiple reports. White House director of communications Kate Bedingfield did not confirm the plans reported by CNN and the Associated Press when asked by reporters Wednesday, referring the matter to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “Title 42 is a public health directive,” Bedingfield said. “It is not an immigration or migration enforcement measure.”
“We have every expectation that when the CDC ultimately decides it’s appropriate to lift Title 42, there will be an influx of people

Guess the parole board thinks he's suffered enough. In a better world his troubles would have ended 5 minutes after the guilty verdict.
