U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) delivered an emotional and very personal defense of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson that brought the Supreme Court nominee to tears Wednesday during her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. ”You have earned this spot. You are worthy. You are a great American,” Booker told Jackson, denouncing Republican suggestions that the judge — who will become the first Black woman on the nation’s highest court if her confirmation is confirmed by the Senate — has been soft on crime. I guess to overtly racist pigs like Cory Booker, being black outweighs all of your negatives. Being another affirmative action appointment outweighs qualifications or your history. My question to him is simply, if a white conservative male was nominated who had exactly the same qualifications as her, would you be supportive of that man. Of course he would not. But that is exactly the sort of racist partisan BS that you would expect from a horrible racist thug like Cory Booker!!!

Booker drones on and on gushing about how historic her nomination is and makes it all about being a Black female and only about being a Black female. Booker gets upset when others see Jackson as anything other than a Black female. People like Booker are making it impossible for people to Jackson as anything more more than an affirmative action hire. The focus on her race is distracting from any real qualifications and qualities she has as a potential Supreme Court Justice.

Whatever happened to Martin Luther King's statement that he wanted his children to be judged not on the color of their skin, but on the content of their character? This is nothing but reverse racism and sexism, and if she, were a white male, she probably would be a mid level attorney at a mid level law firm.

President Joe Biden’s Saturday speech mentioning that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” is getting strong reactions on cable news, with the administration later saying his comment was not about changing regimes or overthrowing the government. Biden said in his speech Saturday that Putin is “a dictator bent on rebuilding an empire” and that Ukraine will “never be a victory for Russia.” “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden continued. A White House official later retracted those comments, clarifying that the president was not suggesting a regime change or overthrow of Russia. “The president’s point was that

We've got the only political party in modern history controlled by a small group of elected officials who fundamentally disagree with the prevailing viewpoints of 90% of the voters who put them in office. Election after election, their unstated yet indisputable campaign slogan is simply, "Vote for us because we don't hate you quite as much as the other guys."
