‘We want him out’: Controversy brews
after video shows Norco preschoolers chanting

A President’s Day lesson turned controversial when a Norco parent saw video of her daughter among students chanting “we want him out” after her teacher asked the class who the president is and “what do we want to do with him?” Video of the 4 and 5 year olds chanting the political statement about Joe Biden was posted on an internal app for parents of students at Turning Point Christian School, and that’s how Christina McFadden saw it. She said she watched the video several times in horror.(Snip)McFadden was told the teacher was spoken to, the video was reviewed and that officials were “OK with it.”

Comments:

I watched the video several times and laughed, laughed, laughed.

If the kids had been chanting, "We love Biden!", it would have gone viral on Leftists news outlets (which means nearly all of them that covered the story). The news media would comment how much even children are in favor of the "green agenda" or the like. They would say even make biblical references, saying "and a child will lead them." I don't like politicizing schools and school children of any age or grade/pre-grade level. I do wish the same standard of reporting on this situation were adhered to for all stories, not just ones that appear to support more conservative points of view.

Poster # 1 is correct. Children should not be placed on the front lines of any battle, idealogical or otherwise. Unfortunately, the Left (especially the school system) has been indoctrinating children since Hitler.

LOL! Poor, woke, Karen... And what if it WASN'T indoctrination? What if it was an expression based on the kids' observations of their parents? What if this was a basic discussion of Civics, explaining how their parents decide how to vote? Liberals indoctrinate more than they teach! I am actually amused it happening in push-back. Years ago, we used to have required classes in Civics. But the left screamed it was propaganda and indoctrinatuon. As a result, the last two generations have not a clue what America is about. This actually gives me a little hope.

Poster #6- I agree completely, The left has been indoctrinating children for decades, teaching them hard core leftist beliefs & values. The right will not win this culture war playing by Marquess Queensberry rules. When the future of the Country is at stake there can be only one goal, which is to win. Otherwise our civilization will be a footnote in History, not that anyone is taught actual history any more. Desperate times often calls for desperate actions. As a result all the Karens' out there will admonish and criticize others via their moral preening..

When the shoe is on the other foot. That said, it is wrong. I teach in a public school. I do not espouse my politics. However, I do challenge students to think about what they believe. My goal isn't to change their minds, but to get them to quit "feeling" everything and actually think about their beliefs. Teaching students how to think is dead in schools. It is all about how they feel about something. This has gone on for three generations, and now it is the defacto method of teaching. There isn't a person I teach with that asks students on a regular basis what they think about anything. It is almost always how they feel. It is another of 1, 465,927 reasons I tell people to run from public schools. With few exceptions, they are cesspools of indoctrination into the stupidest ideas of mankind.

The teacher may have only asked the question. It's a real possibility that the kids were expressing what they have been hearing at home. Little kids are not shy about sharing what goes on there. I was volunteering in my son's pre-school class and one little guy was very happy to tell the story that his mom told his dad that if he didn't get a job they were going to be "living in a cabin like Abraham Lincoln." He was so excited too. I am certainly against teachers indoctrinating students but I wish everyone should hold their "outrage" until all the facts are in. Sometimes incidents are just spontaneous, innocent, and funny as heck.

Everyone on the planet should be covered by an early warning system against extreme weather and climate-related disasters within five years, the UN secretary general has said. About a third of people around the world are not now covered by early warning systems, but in Africa the problem is greater, with about six in 10 people lacking such warnings. As climate breakdown takes hold, more people are likely to be affected by extreme weather, including flash floods, heatwaves, more violent storms and coastal storm surges, made worse by sea level rises. António Guterres said it was unacceptable that so many people were still not covered by early warning systems,
