CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin defended Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s leniency on child porn offenders when discussing the ongoing Senate hearings for her Supreme Court confirmation. On Tuesday, Jackson addressed Sen. Josh Hawley's, R-Mo., criticism against her about her sentencing record of being more lenient towards child porn and sex offenders. Appearing on CNN’s "At This Hour with Kate Bolduan," Toobin agreed with Jackson’s argument that current child porn sentences have yet to be adapted for a "post-internet" society.

Comments:

This is the same guy who was jerking off on a Zoom call! Well of course he believes in lighter sentences for child porn offenders-birds of a feather do flock together. What a repulsive individual.

This is disgusting. As long as we keep getting judges, mayors, AGs and people like this we cannot expect crime to go anywhere but up.

Pre-internet, post-internet, what the heck difference does it make? Other than of course making it easier for certain DOJ entities to plant evidence on innocent people that are guilty of "wrong think", and they would do that anyway.

There is no really acceptable punishment or treatment available. Any more than for Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s appetite. Permissive society won’t accept euthanasia. However, the present epidemic cries for something. Most of us “normal” people recognize this. Chemical castration or similar, to remove the self fixation from the practitioners. The Creator gave us a “sex drive” with restrictions, rules and rewards. Presently, we are not enforcing the rules.

Kyle Rittenhouse, in an unusual move for a defendant, took the witness stand Wednesday. He cried. His defense team then made a motion for a mistrial with prejudice, which means Rittenhouse couldn’t be retried. But whatever the court rules, he has already won. If Rittenhouse is convicted, he will likely stop being a right-wing mascot and become a right-wing martyr. If he isn’t convicted, he will set a precedent for others like him to pick up guns they shouldn’t have and thrust themselves into the middle of unrest they should avoid — confident in knowing that prison won’t be in their future.
