While Joe Biden doesn’t do much in the way of solving any problems, I do have to say that he’s certainly is active — along with his administration — in spreading propaganda and the Democratic narrative on a variety of issues. We saw how his White House reached out to “brief” about 30 TikTok “influencers” on the Russian war against Ukraine. We later saw the result of that “briefing”, which was about selling why it was Vladimir Putin’s fault that the gas prices were going up, not Joe Biden.
On Monday, according to the White House, Biden met with “16 CEOs of major companies across several industries

The confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson began on Capitol Hill on Monday. The prior reactions in the mainstream media were what you’d expect. Namely, endless, slobbering profiles and claims that any questioning of the judge’s record would be racist and out of bounds.
When the time came, Sen. Dick Durbin opened the hearing by pleading with Republicans for “civility.” Of course, Republicans owe Durbin and his party nothing of the sort. After all, it’s been less than four years since one of the most disturbing, disgusting congressional and media spectacles in US history: The Brett Kavanaugh hearings.

As the conflict in Ukraine enters its second month, distraught members of the public are bound to ask: ‘when will the war end?’. The honest answer is nobody knows. The actual war in Ukraine may last for months or years; the greater Cold War II of which it is the first skirmish will likely continue for decades, even beyond the lifetime of those reading these words. And it is likely to become more brutal. The heartrending scenes of combat and siege, as with Mariupol, repeat what history endlessly teaches: as combat drags on everyone’s behavior gets uglier,

These are challenging – and suddenly quite deadly — days to be a general leading Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
Outnumbered, outmatched, and outgunned, after three full weeks of combat, Ukrainian forces have managed to stymie Russian advances across the country, which is about nine-tenths the size of Texas.
Even worse for Russian strategies and morale, nearly a dozen senior officers are believed to have been killed, including five generals, along with what intelligence estimates to be about 7,000 Russian dead. In addition, unconfirmed reports say four more generals have been sacked

President Joe Biden’s nationwide approval rating is dangerously low at 36 percent, impacting races down-ballot in battleground states, a Monday Civiqs poll revealed.
While 55 percent disapproved of Biden’s performance, independents are majorly dragging down the president’s polling numbers. Among independents, only 24 percent approved of Biden. Sixty-six percent disapproved. The lack of support among independents for Biden is impacting battleground states where Republicans hope to defeat Democrats in November.
In Georgia, a state where Donald Trump narrowly lost to Biden in 2020 by less than half a percent is polling poorly for the president. Only 32 percent of Georgians approved of Biden. Fifty-eight disapproved. Biden’s approval rating in Georgia may greatly impact

A Boeing 737-800 passenger jet operated by China Eastern Airlines has crashed in rural China, presumably killing all 132 souls aboard. Video of the plane nosediving into the ground and the aftermath has emerged.
As is expected with any video of this kind, viewer discretion is advised. Much is unknown at this point, but I am a commercial multi-engine pilot and a flight instructor so I can add a few points of speculation to ponder.
According to the flight data available, the rapid descent started at around 30,000 feet. That would point to either a structural failure that caused a loss of flight controls or a high-altitude stall

Joe Biden will travel to Poland on Friday to discuss the international response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that has sparked a “humanitarian and human rights crisis”, the White House spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said late on Sunday. Biden will travel to Warsaw for a bilateral meeting with President Andrzej Duda, the White House said.
More than 2 million refugees have entered Poland from Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February, the Polish border guard said on Friday.

Beijing - A China Eastern Boeing 737-800 with 132 people on board crashed in the southern province of Guangxi on Monday, officials said.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China said in a statement the crash occurred near the city of Wuzhou in Teng county. The flight was traveling from Kunming in the western province of Yunnan to the industrial center of Guangzhou along the east coast, it added.
There was no immediate word on numbers of dead and injured. The plane was carrying 123 passengers and nine crew members, the CAAC said, correcting earlier reports that 133 people had been on board.

Washington - The U.S. has transferred a significant number of Patriot antimissile interceptors to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks as the Biden administration looks to ease what has been a point of tension in the increasingly complicated U.S.-Saudi relationship.
A senior administration official confirmed Sunday night that the interceptors have been sent to Saudi Arabia. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a decision that has not been formally announced, said the decision was in line with President Joe Biden’s promise that “America will have the backs of our friends in the region.”

On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry issued an ultimatum to the Ukrainian garrison defending Mariupol.
“Lay down your arms,” Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, the director of the Russian National Center for Defense Management, said in a briefing distributed by the defence ministry.
“A terrible humanitarian catastrophe has developed,” Mizintsev said. “All who lay down their arms are guaranteed safe passage out of Mariupol.”
The deadline is 5 a.m. Monday, Moscow time, or 10 p.m. Sunday Eastern Daylight Time.
With about two hours remaining to the deadline, the defenders of Mariupol rejected the demand. This sets the stage for the largest siege of a city since World War II.

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy urged calm on Sunday as a Covid-19 wave fueled at least partially by a new sub variant of the virus spread across Europe, adding that the pandemic should “not define our lives.”
During an appearance on Fox News Sunday with Trace Gallagher, Murthy said the country needs to exercise caution with the new spike in Europe but shouldn’t live in fear because of all of the tools at our disposal to combat the disease.
“We should be prepared that Covid hasn’t gone away. There may be rises and falls in the months ahead, but here’s the key:

Inflation continues to slam the American people in ways not seen in over 40 years following the Jimmy Carter administration. The February number clocked in at 7.9 percent, and there are no signs things are going to slow down. Will we soon be at 10 percent inflation? That’s not a bad bet, at this point.
That reality has left poor and middle-class Americans scrambling as they have had to essentially absorb a massive pay reduction due to the increased costs of goods and services. Of course, gas prices are also nearly double what they were when Joe Biden took office.
So, how is our intrepid media handling that?
