Amid inflationary U.S. federal spending, restrictions on domestic oil production, and the current Russia-Ukraine conflict, millions of Americans are suffering the consequences of the Biden administration’s dysfunction at the gas pump.
Instead of investing in American energy, Democrats are actively suppressing the American energy industry and then telling Americans to spend their savings on overpriced electric cars to solve their problems. But the left isn’t being honest about the environmental and financial costs of those trendy electric vehicles.
Last Thursday, Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky took to Twitter to remind Americans that these cars are not as environmentally friendly as Democrats insist they are.

I couldn't care less what the Democrats want me to know. I know the
Democrats are going to get slaughtered in November.

Don't you all know that electricity isn't a "fossil fuel"? It's produced by leprechauns at the end of the rainbow, right?

There was a plan all along. Just a thought I heard earlier today. I cannot give credit as the fellow was relaying it secondhand himself. Electric cars won’t sell if gas is $2.00 a gallon.

Just as I explained the fact that no natural gas to a house is inefficient, electric cars are too. The fuel that burns in a ICE will be of a certain efficiency. A battery will have a certain inefficiency. No power is absolute. So to get an electric car, BTU's must be released by burning something. That burn has inefficiencies, at this point similar to burning in your car. But then there is inefficiencies of the conversion of heat to power and then power transmission so in the end, more BTU's are need. And BTUs come form oil and gas due to Coal and Nukes being demonized

Many EV owners also have solar, so most of their miles, except road trips, are powered by the sun. Mine included.

I remember talking with my mechanical and electrical engineering consultants about this sort of thing. We all had a good laugh. Libtards are all spraining their wrists patting themselves on the back, but all they're really doing is putting the problem onto someone else, usually making it worse.

Wait until the big earthquake hits LA or San Francisco and power is out for weeks on months. We’ll see how well those EV cars and fire trucks and ambulances perform. Not to mention where will the power come from to recharge the vehicles used to lift debris off their squished little bodies?

Electric cars are the biggest scam ever. I suspect congress critters bought a lot of stock in it and don't want to lose money on their illegal investment.

Ha. Take a look around at all the stuff that has an oil by product. Start with plastic. Oil isn't going anywhere except for fuel. Nuke plants would be a good energy source for that, but you only hear about wind and solar.

The world is no way prepared for electric vehicles. There are so many issues that are not addressed. Charging stations being one. As I understand it, fast charge stations damage the battery and it takes eight hours to charge the battery at regular speed. There are not near enough stations to meet the need. What do these stations run on? Right, electricity. What powers that? Did they even think this through to its final conclusion? What happens to the batteries? Can they be recycled? How do we get the materials for the batteries. I assume we must mine lithium with big heavy machinery and how is that going to be powered? What about our food production and shipping? These question are not being answered.
This is all just pie in the sky boondoggle with looming massive negative issues to answer before we even consider taking the leap of faith that would be required to make the change. We are not technologically advanced to the degree that makes this feasible.
The globalists pushing this on the world are greedy heartless power hungry zealots who are denying normal everyday people the comfort and security that comes from oil and gas. The ban on fossil fuels will cause suffering, set back many countries to the Stone Age, and will absolutely cause famine and death. Not because this is a bad concept but because we are not technologically advanced enough to make this work. They are asking us to jump off a cliff and hope for a soft landing while they watch from on high while they continue to use whatever source of energy that benefits them. This a bold assault on the poor and working class. Have the millennials thought this through? What will power their devices? Do they understand that electricity is produced by using those dreaded fossil fuels? Do they have any conception of the amount of products they used on a daily basis is petroleum based? We are being sold a bill of goods by a bunch of entitled elites who will not miss a step because of this madness. They will travel as they please how they please. They will still have access to whatever products they want. These globalist elites want to create a greater divide between the haves and the have nots. They loathe that the working class are able to become upwardly mobile. They want them to stay in their lanes. One thing that is never mentioned is the massive redistribution of wealth. The middle class will disappear and there will be basically two classes the uber-elites and the rest of us. To anyone with critical thinking skills, this push to electric vehicles is absolute madness until the technology catches up. As it stands and if the globalists are successful, the world will be cast into a nightmare scenario quicker than we could have ever imagined. It is our right, nay duty, to resist government forced suicide.

Green cars are a fantasy pushed by ignorant idealists. People who don't know any better may buy a few electric cars but an effective infrastructure will not be in place for decades and a workable one can only be supplied by nuclear power, another taboo of the Green Weenies. Joe and his Clown Show are putting Americans through a lot of misery for nothing and will hopefully pay the price this side of the grave before paying the balance on the other side. Joe hasn't done a single useful thing since the theft of the 2020 election and should be executed for treason although an insanity plea can not be rejected given his lack of a mind. FJB

I have a friend who paid $30,000 for Solar panels.
He brags on his small electric bill, but he is paying $200 dollars a month on the 2nd mortgage he took out to pay for the solar panels.

Like the person who wasn't bothered by the price of gas. "It can go as high as it wants, because I only put in $10 at a time!" Thought of this quip on the way home from work the other day, and it struck me as unbearably funny.

Someday the NY Times will run a comprehensive article on the folly of electric cars. That will make people think twice. Ha! Ha! Ha! Every so often, various news engine designs come along that are intended to replace the gasoline powered IC engine, like Chrysler's turbine and the Wankel engine. But in the end, due to cost and operating factors in the new designs, the ICE proved to be the most cost effective in the end. So it will be with battery EV's, in my estimation.

They don't want you to know how much their windmills need that fossil fuel that contributes to the lubrication of those spinning blades either. Along with how many jobs in many industries depend on products that come from fossil fuels. Like those North Face spiffy winter coats for one thing. How many liberals are wearing those?

Here's a brilliant Idea for AOC to sponsor. Windmills on top of cars, just think of it, the faster you go the more electricity you create to charge your batteries. Friction, Drag, what is that?
