Biden about to get caught flat-footed

Anybody want to take bets that Joe Biden will know what to do when the next crisis hits? His presidency is one crisis after another, and his record, well... The next crisis is bound to be a doozy. Based on Russia's horrible war against Ukraine, grain and fertilizer prices are skyrocketing and shortages are on the way. Ukraine's and Russia's customers already are hoarding supplies. Based on the little-discussed stories out there, this crisis is bound to be felt in all countries, and looks certain to happen. Joe, of course, is nowhere to be found on this, as we shall shortly see.

Why ask what Biden will do? President Pot Plant just reads the prompter that someone stuffs words into or his index cards filling his jacket pockets along with cheat sheets with people's faces with names that he can't remember. There's is a cadre of unelected people ruling over us and making decisions. Not my president and we have no government. FJB

Biden will just blame "Big Wheat" or "Big Corn" for the dramatic increase in prices. It will always be some hidden hand of "Big _____" to blame rather than the obvious, simple economic reasons - if there ever was an great example of Occam's Razor - our economy under Biden is it.

What percentage of the US population, given flour could make it into bread? I really wonder. I make bread of various kinds fairly regularly, wheat bread and corn bread, and have since I was a teen. I really like freshly baked breads. I'm lazy and mostly buy it, but that might change, who knows if there will be actual shortages? And for cornbread....I always make that, never have seen any cornbread in a store. The least able to deal with this are the poorer third world countries. They will be hurt the most.

Warmongering Risks GOP Gains this November 16 replies

This past Sunday, we were given indications of two possible November midterm election outcomes for Republicans. They came on Maria Bartiromo’s “Sunday Morning Futures” program. It featured Stephen Miller, who served as a top advisor to former president Trump, and Senator Lindsey Graham, an erstwhile ally of Trump’s. Miller’s remarks provided a sensible approach in the hope of ceasing the Ukraine conflict. Graham’s remarks were a continuation of his unremitting bellicosity about the war. Whichever perspective prevails before November will have a bearing on how voters see GOP candidates and cast their ballots.

From the beginning of COVID two years ago, health authorities and the media have been preaching “follow the science,” but what they don’t say is that it’s not medical science that they are following but instead political science. How else does one explain sudden new rules and recommendations, contradicting past “settled science,” regarding everything from natural immunity and off label therapeutics to the futility of masks and social distancing. It seems that overnight the science changed with this viral pandemic due to an upcoming election and the convenient distraction of Russian-Ukrainian war.

Far from rallying the free world as its leader in reacting to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, President Biden’s diplomatic team has been publicly snubbed and humiliated by even putative allies. Rather than “restoring respect” for the US, as Biden promised to do, his administration has severely damaged America’s standing as a country to be heeded.
