A new poll could spell big trouble for New York: Nearly four of every 10 voters here are thinking of fleeing. Their No. 1 reason: high taxes. The survey, released this month by Zogby, found that 38.9% of voters are “considering” or already have “made plans” to head out, up five points from a month earlier.(Snip)Most notably, a stunning 36.7% say their top reason for wanting out is that taxes are “too high,” a gripe more people cited than any other. Even a quarter of “progressives,” 32% of “liberals” and 38% of “moderates” cite high taxes as their strongest motivation to leave. Never mind the druggies and crazies,

Police released horrifying video Sunday morning that shows a deranged man jumping over a desk and stabbing two workers at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan a day earlier. The 60-year-old suspected of the stabbings was still on the loose as of the video’s release. The NYPD identified him as Gary Cabana. Authorities said he was angry after his membership was revoked because of two previous incidents of disorderly conduct in recent days. When he showed up to see a film at MoMA shortly on Saturday afternoon, he was denied entry and then stabbed the two workers in a rage at 4 p.m.,

Sorry, suckers. Jars stuffed with slimy leeches—bound for three states—were seized by customs officers in Philadelphia last month. About 300 blood-sucking parasites arrived in six shipments from Bulgaria between Feb. 19 and Feb. 25 and were headed to destinations in Connecticut, Florida and Illinois, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Philadelphia said in a news release this week.
“Customs and Border Protection officers and agriculture specialists often encounter unique and interesting things, like this jar full of icky bloodsuckers, while inspecting goods being imported to the United States,” Joseph Martella, CBP’s area port director in Philadelphia said in the release. The leeches were confiscated for violating

For many Americans, March 11, 2020 is the day the coronavirus started to feel like a real pandemic, as our elected officials rushed to respond to the crisis. Two years later, Americans’ view of their civil liberties—and their confidence in public officials — has taken a beating. A new poll conducted by YouGov and Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and released exclusively to The Post reveals that Americans feel their core freedoms are less secure than before the pandemic. This is true often by substantial margins: 42% feel less secure about voicing their opinions, 43% feel less secure about their freedom to protest, 36% feel less secure about their freedom to

Around 600,000 Italians over the age of 50 are set to receive a fine for being unvaccinated despite the Italian government reviewing a loosening of various Wuhan virus restrictions. In January, the Italian government decided to make vaccination mandatory for all residents over the age of 50, with the mandate coming into effect in February. At least 600,000 Italians have been referred to the Italian tax agency and are expected to receive a 100 euro (£84/$110) fine.(Snip)Fines are also set to increase for those over 50 who continue to refuse to get the vaccine, and could go as high as between 600 euros (£499/$668) and 1,500 euros

A homeless man beat and raped a woman inside a Manhattan church—a “sickening” attack that ended only when a hero priest intervened, she claims in a lawsuit. The terrifying ordeal began Jan. 30, 2019, when the 68-year-old victim, who lives nearby Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Hamilton Heights, noticed the lights were off, which was “abnormal.”(Snip)(Snip)Cops arrested Craig Ellis, 55, about two hours and a block away on Broadway. The homeless man with at least 43 prior arrests stretching back to the late 1990s allegedly had Jane Doe’s jacket and cellphone on him, police sources told The Post.

Washington—The State Department says it's paying more than $2 million per month to provide 24-hour security to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a former top aide, both of whom face "serious and credible" threats from Iran. The department told Congress in a report that the cost of protecting Pompeo and former Iran envoy Brian Hook between August 2021 and February 2022 amounted to $13.1 million.(Snip)As a former secretary of state, Pompeo was automatically given 180 days of protection by the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security after leaving office. But that protection has been repeatedly extended in 60-day increments by Secretary of State

The “cancelled” statue of Theodore Roosevelt that was hauled away in the dead of night from the American Museum of Natural History’s steps should be headed for the scrap heap rather than a presidential library in North Dakota, a group of woke academics and artists claims. The bronze depiction of the Rough Rider on horseback flanked by an African man and Native American, which was decried as colonialistic and racist, is slated to go to a planned Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, N.D. It was removed in January and is currently in storage in NYC. “New Yorkers cannot simply dump their toxic cultural products in other communities,”

A man has been killed by police in Marseille, France, after he attacked three officers with a knife. Authorities said he repeatedly ignored warning shots and the reason for the attack, which took place at the town hall that was also a donation collection point for Ukraine, was unclear. The Mayor of Marseilles, Benoît Payan, praised the police intervention, saying: 'This is a heroic act, I dare not imagine what could have happened if they weren't there.' Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin described a 'violent attack with a knife' and said police were able to 'neutralize the victim and avoid the worst.'

Bill Clinton signed a copy of his memoir to Ghislaine Maxwell, a photograph exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com reveals. The former President wrote 'To Ghislaine with love' in blue marker in the front cover of 'My Life', said Maxwell's former dog walker Rasmus Alpsjö.
Alpsjö told DailyMail.com that he remembered finding the copy of 'My Life', which came out in 2004, one day at Maxwell's $15million New York townhouse. He took a picture to remind himself of it and thought that it added to the 'mystery' about who Maxwell was. The friendly tone of the letter is one of the latest indications of how close Maxwell was with Clinton,
