Kim Foxx, who achieved her position as Cook County State’s Attorney (i.e., the Chicago DA), has written an opinion piece that’s ostensibly about Jussie Smollett’s case.(snip)That entire story is obviously a black mark against AG Foxx. Therefore, she took to the pages of the Chicago Sun-Times to give her version of the Smollett story. And that’s where you find out that the abuse of city resources wasn’t Smollett’s self-aggrandizing hoax. Instead, the abuse was the Smollett trial, which came about because people who hate Black women prosecutors wanted to humiliate her as they’ve been doing across America to other female Black prosecutors:

I think she is correct that the problem is differential treatment based on race -- but not in the way she claims. I think too many people are admitted to law school based on their race, when they are not really smart enough to be there. Then, when they graduate, they are promoted into positions they lack the intellect and objectivity to handle, again based on their race. The result is a bunch of stupid prosecutors doing stupid things and getting called out on it.

How the Left is seething with anger that WUSSIE has to pay restitution and serve 150 days in the 'slam. I wish someone would get Robin Roberts (the nice lady who interviewed Wussie and let him lie freely) and ask her how she feels now, that she let Wussie use her for spin control, and aske her how she feels about how her reputation has been damaged by her fawning, doe-eyed, so-called interview where she practically got on her knees and kissed his feet? Her probable response--> NO COMMENT

Don't blame only Chicago for Kim Foxx. The entire county, including the wealthiest and whitest suburbs) voted for her. This whole thing could have been avoided for Jussie if he hadn't demanded, and Foxx hadn't given him, special treatment. He should have been required to plead guilty if he wanted a deal. A guilty plea, a fine and community service and that would be been the end of it.

I'll bet she got a participation trophy when she got her backside handed to her by winners so anything that shows she is not a winner must mean she is a victim and there are far too many who've bought into victimhood. It's just so much easier to be a victim when a winner exposes your ineptness.

Mitt Romney has disgraced himself by reacting hysterically to a tweet by former Representative Tulsi Gabbard calling for a ceasefire in Ukraine around the US-funded biological laboratories where hazardous pathogens exist. Romney, to his eternal disgrace, accused her of “treasonous lies.” Treason itself is a death penalty crime, but perhaps in the Senator’s mind “treasonous lies” are a different offense. Donald Trump was a great president, and Americans of all stripes are beginning to recognize that. Even his opponents will find it hard to argue against that conclusion without waxing stupid about a supposed “January 6th insurrection” that was “worse than 9/11,” or citing the futile “impeachments” where Democrats beclowned themselves in conducting show trials against him. Far from rallying the free world as its leader in reacting to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, President Biden’s diplomatic team has been publicly snubbed and humiliated by even putative allies. Rather than “restoring respect” for the US, as Biden promised to do, his administration has severely damaged America’s standing as a country to be heeded. (snip) Poland, a vital and well-armed ally, humiliated Secretary of State Blinken after he tried to force it to provide Soviet-era Mig fighters to Ukrainian pilots who were trained in them. (snip) Serious as is Poland’s mockery, the rebuke suffered from our key Middle east Arab allies is perhaps even more devastating.
