Senate passes government funding bill,
preventing shutdown and clearing nearly
$14 billion in Ukraine aid

The Senate passed a $1.5 trillion funding bill Thursday night to keep the government running through September and bolster both humanitarian and military efforts in Ukraine. The legislation will head to President Joe Biden for his signature. The House passed it on Wednesday. The Senate approved the funding bill in a 68-31 vote. Congress had to approve a spending bill by Friday to prevent a government shutdown. Lapses in funding can lead to furloughs of federal workers, hinder the economy and force the government to scale back services. Lawmakers passed a full-year spending bill after keeping the lights on for months through temporary continuing resolutions

I just told my husband that there could be a provision in that bill that says all congressmen and senators have to murder their children, and they would still pass it because NONE OF THEM READ IT!!! This is not how our government is supposed to run. Shame on all that voted for it. How many trillions have been spent in the 14 months since Xiden was fraudulently installed? Is it around $9 trillion? I am old enough to remember when the entire national debt was $2 trillion under Reagan and the msm was running stories about how high that was. Now it is in one bill alone, followed by more and more insanity. FJB and Trump won in 2020!

I am sure Mitch McConnell led the way for Repubs to vote for it. Mitch is heavily invested in the global military-industrial complex as well as post-war reconstruction companies. Hazardous military waste cleanup and disposal, as well as bridge reconstruction and war destroyed buildings demolition and reconstruction. This will all be paid for by US taxpayers and Mitch will be the tip of the spear authorizing the cost as well as vetting the companies that will be pre-selected to get the contracts.

The Founders created this country with a government of, by and for the people. Today the government is of, by and for our corrupt political class who have usurped power they do not have because they are willing to lie, cheat, make deals, and even go to war because it benefits them. No responsible person would ever make the decisions that the criminals in Washington DC make on a daily basis. They have corrupted the entire system. We fund the very people who steal our hard earned money. We enable this criminal transfer of wealth by the most vile among us. They are so corrupted the system that it seems like an impossible task to ever get this irresponsible spending under control again. The ballot box is our only peaceful vehicle for change and as we have seen, they have corrupted that and essentially provided themselves with a process by which they will continue their unbridled theft forever. When we abandoned meaningful and unbiased audits allowing massive waste and theft, it was pretty much over for accountability. Good people are sent to Washington to do the people’s business and before long, they have joined in the corruption. What in the heck goes on in that cesspool to draw so many to the dark side? They demand unlimited funds, no oversight, and we are to sit down and shut up. Our government is thoroughly corrupt and until that changes and the possibility of that happening is minuscule, we are in a hopeless situation.

But I’m outraged for my fellow members of the shrinking middle class whose pockets and those of their grandchildren and great grandchildren will be picked to pay the bill.

The Dollar is at best a fiat currency now. Not backed by gold since the early 1970s. Another $1.5 trillion down a rabbit hole. No biggie, but just we wait - the so-called digital dollar which will be worth a fraction of the old dollar which is nearly worthless itself is not far off now. Have you noticed the bank ads which are introducing the term "digital wallet" or "what's in your wallet"? Have you noticed the Federal Reserve and biden the cheater discussing a digital dollar? A cashless society where limits are placed on how much we can spend on certain things like gasoline, natural gas, electricity, and air travel. A cashless society where the individual has to earn so-called social credits by doing business with woke companies only that then affords the individual certain privileges. The Great Reset. How uplifting, no?

Black and Brown Americans Leaving Democratic

Democrats have finally fouled things up so badly that even a critical part of their voting base is leaving the building. A recent poll reveals that support for the party among minority voters has taken a significant dive over the past year, and if this trend continues, it could have ramifications even beyond the upcoming midterm elections. The Wall Street Journal released the results of a poll on Friday analyzing American attitudes towards President Joe Biden’s performance in office, among other issues. But one result that will almost assuredly be ignored by the activist media is the reality that Democrats are faring horribly with minority voters, when compared to their typical performance.

Earlier today Steve noted a Wall Street Journal poll that contains good news for Republicans and bad news for Democrats. There is an additional feature of that poll that deserves notice, as highlighted in the Journal’s article about it: The survey also found Republicans making gains among minority groups. By 9 percentage points, Hispanic voters in the new poll said they would back a Republican candidate for Congress over a Democrat. The two parties had been tied among Hispanic voters in the Journal’s survey in November. Democratic margins also eroded among Black voters, who favored a Democrat for Congress by 35 percentage points in the new survey, down from 56 points in November.

President Biden did not receive a game-changing approval bounce after the State of the Union address (SOTU), as his approval rating remains underwater by double digits, a Wall Street Journal survey released Friday found. The survey, conducted by Impact Research and Fabrizio, Lee & Associates after Biden’s SOTU address, found 57 percent disapproving of Biden’s job performance, compared to 42 percent who approved — a net negative of -15 percent. WSJ said these figures come “despite favorable marks for the president’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and a recent State of the Union speech, which provided him an opportunity to directly speak to millions of Americans.”

A Texas judge on Friday blocked the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services from conducting investigations of parents of transgender children for potential child abuse. District judge Amy Clark Meachum wrote in her ruling that a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union and Lambda Legal against the DFPS holds a “substantial likelihood” of success. The groups filed a lawsuit after Texas governor Greg Abbott in February ordered the DFPS to conduct investigations of parents of transgender children. Abbott announced the order following a legal opinion by state attorney general Ken Paxton, declaring the use of sex-change procedures and prescription of puberty blockers to children as “child abuse.”

Austin, Texas -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday dealt essentially a final blow to abortion clinics’ best hopes of stopping a restrictive law that has sharply curtailed the number of abortions in the state since September and will now fully stay in place for the foreseeable future. The ruling by the all-Republican court was not unexpected, but it slammed the door on what little path forward the U.S. Supreme Court had allowed Texas clinics after having twice declined to stop a ban on abortions after roughly six weeks of pregnancy. It spells the coming end to a federal lawsuit that abortion clinics filed

Democrats have got nothing to run on for re-election. And that’s eating at the politicians who’ve been casting about for a catchy slogan that would fit on a bumper sticker and sweep the country. Originally, the Biden people thought that “Build Back Better” would carry them to victory. But it’s become apparent that BBB is the punchline to a joke and wouldn’t be useful. Some Democrats hit upon the brilliant slogan “Democrats Deliver!” but the White House polled the tagline and found it came in near the bottom of other suggestions. Given what Democrats have “accomplished” so far, Republicans could easily make a mockery of that slogan. “Deliver what?” they might counter.
