White House says no plans to restart Keystone
XL pipeline amid soaring gas prices

Original Article

The Biden administration will not resume construction on the Keystone XL pipeline, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday. “There are no plans for that,” Ms. Psaki said of restarting construction. “It would not address any of the problems that we are currently having.” The pipeline would have brought as much as 700,000 barrels of oil per day into the U.S. from Canada. Republicans and some Canadian officials have called to restart construction on the halted project as the U.S. seeks to boost its oil supply and gas prices push toward $5.(Snip)Ms. Psaki said the pipeline is merely a delivery mechanism and would do nothing to boost

Comments:

Our tax dollars are a delivery mechanism that allows the political class to be chauffeured around in limousines at our expense, and to spend every waking moment trying to ruin our lives and destroy our standard of living while they live like royalty.

The Biden administration is just stuck on stupid! They are so wed to their just go green narrative that they forget that it is too expensive for 99% of the people and that even if they could afford it, the "green" energy, cars, and other green infrastructure is just not in place to replace fossil fuels. The Biden administration and their media cronies are living in a fantasy world if they think their go green fetish will solve anything except their never ending need to yammer on and on about non existent "green" things.

Ms. Psaki said the pipeline is merely a delivery mechanism and would do nothing to boost the U.S.’s supply of oil. This is like saying your aorta is just a delivery mechanism and would do nothing about the supply of blood in the body. Making an additional supply available using a means that reduces its cost would instantly lower the futures cost of oil. How can people this stupid about basic market function be in positions of power like this?

Expect an announcement somewhere between July and Sept of the Keystone Pipeline renewal. With these gas prices, the politics of green energy will be dead by then.

Supplying oil efficiently -- which helps keep the price down -- is not just about drilling for black gold (to borrow from The Beverly Hillbillies theme song). On the contrary, drilling is just one part of it. Wouldn't a pipeline be more environmentally sound than having tanker trucks and trains traveling hither and yon? Psaki is a liar and a ditz.

Mexican authorities have confirmed that 20 people were killed when a group of gunmen stormed a cockfight, in a small town in the western state of Michoacán. Officials and witnesses described a choreographed massacre in which assailants in military uniforms arrived just after 10.30pm on Sunday night and opened fire with assault rifles at the crowds of primarily middle-aged men. Two small trucks, one of them branded with the logo for Sabritas, a potato chip company, were used to block the highway leading to the cockfighting arena. Video filmed by witnesses nearby captured the sound of machine gun fire, which could be heard several miles away.

A school district in Washington state has passed a new policy encouraging administrators to factor in race when disciplining students. The Clover Park School District board approved the new policy on a 3-2 vote on March 14, over the objections of board members who expressed concerns that it was ill-conceived. The district in the suburbs of Tacoma will now use 'culturally responsive discipline' that encourages school staff to impose punishments that 'may be adapted to individual student needs in a culturally responsive manner.' The number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. soared by more than 1 million last year, reaching 11.4 million as of this January, according to new research released Tuesday that puts new contours on the border chaos under President Biden. The surge is the largest in two decades and is among the largest single-year increases in U.S. history, said Steven A. Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies, the lead researcher who wrote the paper. He used Census Bureau numbers to calculate the trajectory of the unauthorized population, figuring there were about 11.5 million in January 2019, that figure plummeted to 10.2 million by the start of 2021,

John R.
