A Manhattan high school principal has resigned after he was accused of pressing his groin against a male teacher's leg at a holiday party, officials confirmed. The complaint against openly-gay Lower Manhattan Arts Academy Principal Derek Premo, 47, was revealed by the New York Post six months ago. It was filed by special-ed teacher John Colin with the state Division of Human Rights.(Snip)'Then he started telling me about how he and his husband liked to have parties,' Colin wrote, saying that Premo emphasized the word 'parties' and was 'looking directly into my eyes when he said it.'(Snip)Premo also drew criticism for allowing

The gross married cruiser principal also had a fellow gay teacher who was so disgusting that students held a sit-in to demand his removal.

GOP lawmakers in a new study are warning that skyrocketing inflation under President Biden is costing the average American household as much as $385 per month. Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee, led by Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, are out with a new analysis indicating that inflation is costing households hundreds of dollars a month in rising costs for food, gas and other essential goods. “On average, American households are paying $385 more per month, but in some areas of the country, inflation is being felt even more acutely,” said Mr. Lee.(Snip)“Families in Utah are facing costs upwards of $500 more per month due to the massive

Vice President Kamala Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Monday pushed a transition to green energy and electric cars as Americans face record high prices at the pump. As gas costs soar and more workers are returning to the office as covid numbers fall, President Joe Biden's administration announced a $3.7 billion boost for public transportation, including an investment in new fleets of electric buses. 'We are all in the midst of a turning point. We have the technologies to transition to a zero emission fleet,' Harris said during the announcement. 'We can address the climate crisis and grow our economy at the same time.'

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that NATO is considering permanently deploying troops in the Baltic states after Lithuania’s president raised fears that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will march his army into other European countries if he is not stopped in Ukraine. “We’re continuously reviewing within NATO our defense posture, including looking at questions of extending the deployment of forces, looking at questions of more permanent deployments. All of that is under regular review, and we’re engaged with NATO allies in doing just that,” Blinken said during a joint news conference with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis in Vilnius. The White House on Sunday rejected the argument that increasing domestic oil production would help lower gas prices, as the cost of oil moves toward record highs. Crude oil prices rose as high as $130.50 a barrel on Sunday evening. White House press secretary Jen Psaki released a set of talking points on social media, arguing against a focus on boosting oil production in the United States. “It’s a reminder that real energy security comes from reducing our dependence on fossil fuels,” Psaki wrote, noting that Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine was causing a spike in oil prices. Psaki pushed back against Republicans calling for more domestic oil production.

President Biden’s pledge to cut the deficit by more than $1 trillion by the end of the year has budget experts and fiscal hawks scratching their heads, especially as the White House pushes trillions in new spending. Republicans say that if Mr. Biden was serious about cutting the deficit he would not be asking Congress to revive the administration’s $1.75 trillion social welfare and climate change package.(Snip)The Congressional Budget Office estimates the legislation, which includes $500 billion in new climate change spending and billions for social welfare initiatives like universal pre-K, will balloon the deficit anywhere between $367 billion to $3 trillion over the next decade.
