Regular people are watching tho'. Thursday the You Tube trucker SASNAK got over 130,000 views & Friday's got over 270,000 views. Plus there are at least 2 other You Tubers recording the event on the ground. Thursday afternoon (here in SW Ohio) we went out to the closest I-70 overpass and waved the Stars & Stripes as the convoy passed. It took over a half hour for them to go by - they were sort of spread out. More truckers & people have joined up with them last night. Their staging area is at the county fair grounds off Route 40 outside of Hagerstown, Maryland.

I've been hearing this convoy is coming for 2 weeks now...it seems they could have driven up from the tip of South America in that time. I am on their side, but since the Covid restrictions are coming down, what exactly are they protesting? Brandon, gas prices/energy, govt. overreach, inflation, democrats in general? All of the above, I hope. Keep safe, brave truckers!

I was with a nice crowd on an overpass in Baton Rouge today as the southern convoy came through. I made 3 signs: "Fight for freedom like you fought for toilet paper"; Men died in 1776 for the Bill of Rights and we surrendered to a virus" ; Hardest part of 15 days to slow the spread...the first 600 days" We got lots of appreciative honks from both trucks and cars.

The fact mandates are coming down means they are winning! They want all mandates dropped —what about the TSA holdouts? End the National Covid Emergency declaration by Biden. Stop the $35 billion dollars he wants for Covid testing and to pay hospitals the big bucks for Covid deaths. Still lots to protest not just the stupid mask theater.

Apparently there are mulitple parts to this. I found that a "Kansas portion" had passed through here yesterday afternoon, unfortunately only after too late to get my flag and travel to the interstate to greet them.

Another very large group of truckers, a shitload of them passed through Grand Junction, Colorado last Thursday on E-bound I-70. They should be in DC by now. Locals were horn-honking back on the 24 Road overpass not far from where I live. On our way back from the grocery store, we made our own noise there, too, at the overpass. Truckers, you go, guys and gals!

In the long-ago summer of 2010, I found myself in the beautiful harbour of Sevastopol, surveying the rival fleets of Russia and Ukraine as they rode at anchor in the lovely Crimean sunshine. One great fortress was adorned with banners proclaiming 'Glory to the Ukrainian Navy!' Another frowning bastion across the water bore the words 'Glory to the Russian Navy!' Russians who had lived there happily for decades were pressured to take Ukrainian citizenship and adopt Ukrainian versions of their Christian names. CORRECTION*

After Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Schroeder read through nearly 40 pages of jury instructions on Monday, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger began the prosecution's closing argument in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. Stretching on for more than two hours, Binger's closing argument meandered through a selectively chosen set of facts that defied logic, ignored reality, and seemed at times unbelievable. 1. At one point in his argument, Binger sounded like a CNN reporter when he characterized the violent rioters that were laying siege to Kenosha as a "crowd full of heroes."

The November 2 study by OnePoll analyzed the responses of 2,000 U.S. residents about how the COVID-19 vaccine has influenced relationships with loved ones. Fully vaccinated individuals accounted for 65 percent of respondents and nearly six out of 10 of those respondents had already severed ties with unvaccinated family members. CORRECTION*

Banker Guillermo Lasso unexpectedly won Ecuador's presidency on promises to revive an economy battered by the coronavirus while his rival's vows of a return to socialist largesse failed to win over a skeptical electorate. Lasso took 52% of the vote in the runoff following a campaign that pitted free market economics against the social welfare plans of economist Andres Arauz, a win likely helped by a ballot spoiling campaign that left one in six ballots void. Markets welcomed the news following months of concerns that Arauz's social spending plans would upset the government's delicate finances.

Two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers in Michigan rescinded their votes to certify the election results, saying Wednesday they were bullied into changing their original votes, and state authorities had refused to conduct an audit. As Breitbart News reported Tuesday, the board originally deadlocked 2-2 along partisan lines and failed to certify the results because of discrepancies between ballots and voter rolls. But after public abuse and threats, and with the video stream down, the two Republicans agreed to change their votes, saying that they’re promised state authorities would audit the results.
