President Joe Biden’s nominee to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, apparently refuses to use the term “illegal alien” in her court opinions, opting instead for “noncitizen.”
In a handful of immigration-related cases that Jackson has ruled on U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, she has made a note to employ the term “noncitizen” or “undocumented non-citizens” rather than the terms “alien” or “illegal aliens” that are regularly used in court and in federal statutes.

Hollywood celebrities went completely maskless for the SAG Awards on Sunday at the same time that thousands of children across Los Angeles County are still being forced to wear masks indoors in school.
The SAG Awards allowed the stars to forego masks despite previously announcing that masks would be required. The change in policy appears to be in line with recent changes to local health guidance.
Los Angeles County began relaxing its indoor mask mandate for businesses on Friday, allowing people to go maskless in restaurants, gyms, and other establishments only if they show proof of vaccination.

The United Nations Security Council held its second meeting this week on Russian aggression against Ukraine late Tuesday – a meeting presided over by the Russian ambassador ending with Ukraine’s envoy warning he would “go straight to Hell.”
Russian strongman Vladimir Putin announced an invasion of Ukraine in the early morning hours of Thursday that, reports indicate, has gone far beyond the Donbas region Putin claims he is protecting and included reported explosions in Kyiv, the national capital hundreds of miles from the Russian border.

The onset of last night’s carnage in Ukraine came after one of the more absurd displays we’ve seen by members of our federal legislature during House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s weekly press briefing yesterday, led by one of the more familiar faces among House Democrats.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) may be best remembered for his repeated nonsense with the Russia Hoax during the Trump presidency. He rose to national fame (or infamy) when he appeared on CNN on a seemingly nightly basis to claim that he had new evidence showing President Donald Trump had colluded with Russia. It got to the point where his appearances seemed like satire, but they weren’t.

The Canadian Parliament voted Monday night to approve Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s motion to invoke the Emergencies Act by a vote of 185 for and 151 against.
Trudeau invoked the Act, an unprecedented move, last week claiming it necessary to dispel peaceful protests linked to the Freedom Convoy movement, which is demanding an end to civil rights violations by the Trudeau government allegedly necessary to fight the Chinese coronavirus. At press time on Monday, no active Freedom Convoy protests exist anywhere in Canada.

Ohio’s crowded Republican Senate primary is still 2 1/2 months away, but one candidate has made gains in recent weeks: businessman Mike Gibbons.
A February poll by the Trafalgar Group found Josh Mandel as an early front-runner in the primary race to replace retiring GOP Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, with the winner expected to face Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan in November. But it found Gibbons at 16.4%, an increase from 11.9% in December, marking a jump from third to second place in just two months. One of CNN’s promotional videos, a compilation of short clips of many of its hosts still being used to this day, includes a clip of Erin Burnett, evidentially quite exercised about some great injustice, asking: “How stupid do you think we are?”
The promotional video does not provide the context for this great social justice warrior’s impassioned words but it is in fact in reference to remarks by several GOP senators’ remarks about Donald Trump’s alleged description in a private Oval Office meeting of certain African countries and Haiti as “s**thole” countries. Although these events took place long ago, it is useful to dissect Burnett’s remarks in some detail

Far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced another round of heckling and widespread laughter in Parliament on Tuesday, prompting audible cackling at his use of the term “responsible leadership” after invoking the never-before-used Emergencies Act against anti-mandate protesters this week.
The Emergencies Act is a law passed in 1988 that allows for widespread federal civil rights violations in the event of violent civil unrest, terrorism, and other emergencies. The law replaced the War Measures Act which granted similar sweeping powers and was last used by Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, the current head of government’s father, against secessionist terrorists in Quebec.

Waukesha parade massacre suspect Darrell Brooks has pled “not guilty” to killing six people and wounding dozens of others when he allegedly plowed an SUV through crowds of Christmas parade attendees in November of last year.
“We’d waive formal reading, and we can enter pleas of not guilty this morning,” Brooks’ defense attorney Jeremy Perri said last Friday. Brooks’ attorney also requested for a change of venue or for jurors to be sequestered and selected from another county, arguing that the intensity of the parade coverage has already turned the city of Waukesha against him.

In this installment of their weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative break down six major news stories from the turbulent past week.
#6: Cancel culture sharks smell Joe Rogan’s blood in the water.
PF: If the old saying “any publicity is good publicity” is true, then Joe Rogan is on a roll. Two weeks ago he was making headlines due to the ultimatum issued by has-been rocker Neil Young to Spotify, demanding the streaming service either remove Rogan’s podcasts or Young’s music from their catalog. Spotify held their ground and let go of Young’s tunes, but made a dreadful mistake in the process,

Veteran GOP strategist Karl Rove is under fire hours before he is set to speak at a major gathering of Republicans in Missouri, Breitbart News has learned, all while his failures on redistricting nationwide become clearer.
Rove, who is scheduled to keynote the Missouri Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner in St. Louis on Saturday night, is a senior adviser nationally to a group called the National Republican Redistricting Trust (NRRT). The GOP redistricting group NRRT, Rove wrote in a 2021 op-ed for the Wall Street Journal announcing his appointment to it, “was formed in response to Democratic efforts organized in 2016

Health officials in the Canadian province of Ontario are expected to announce an easing of pandemic restrictions on Thursday that have prohibited schoolchildren from participating in extracurricular activities — including sports such as hockey and basketball — since September 2021, the Toronto Star reported citing anonymous sources.
“All extracurricular activities can return to Ontario schools starting immediately — meaning high-contact sports such as hockey and basketball that have been sidelined will be given the go-ahead, as will choirs and wind instruments for music,”
the Toronto Star revealed on February 10.
“The move will allow elementary and secondary school athletes to play without masks
