Liquor stores across the U.S. and Canada have started throwing out their stocks of Russian vodka in protest of President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, according to reports. In Ontario, Canada, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy directed the provincial Liquor Control Board to have stores remove Russian vodka and other alcoholic products, according to the Canadian Press. “Ontario joins Canada’s allies in condemning the Russian government’s act of aggression against the Ukrainian people and we strongly support the federal government’s efforts to sanction the Russian government,” Bethlenfalvy said. “We will continue to be there for the Ukrainian

Yeah because hurting the people that sell the vodka to help keep food on the table is really going to hurt Russia. How pathetic.

You’ve got it backwards people. Joe Biden is buying tons Russian oil and gas ( since he shut down US energy production) which keeps Putin and his oligarchs well paid as millionaires. Dumping Vodka puts the little guy out of work who had no rights at all in Russia. So you are keeping the Russian ear machine going and knocking off the general population.

Empty gestures. All this vodka has already been sold at the level that counts. The wholesale level.. Putin has already pocketed his money. The only vodka that matters is the vodka that hasn't been ordered.

Send it all to Ukraine. Reportedly, some of the invading Russians will trade diesel fuel in their tanks for vodka. Then their tanks run dry and just sit there. Fishes that tipple in the deep know no such liberty as these smashed Rooskies.. A significant portion of Putin's conscript forces are drunks, get habitually schnockered. (Wouldn't you?) Dr. Wheeler even suggested that one out of ten bottles sent to the Russians be doctored with an odorless, tasteless 10% methanol solution. A new kind of Russian Roulette! Those who drink the methanol will go blind in about three days. Blind, shatfaced Russians aren't as effective on the battlefield and might get their drunk butts eliminated.

Kevin uses one word to describe the first days of the protests in downtown Ottawa: torture. "Literally there was trucks right underneath me," said Kevin, "It was one thing for me, but I've got animals. I've got three cats, two dogs. So yeah, it was torture." (Snip) The trucks have since been removed, with police pushing the majority of protesters outside of the downtown core over the Family Day long weekend. Even still, some downtown residents say they're haunted by "phantom honking" — what sounds like blaring truck horns, but no actual sounds are there.

Nearly eight-in-ten Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (78%) say they have “a lot” or “some” trust in the information that comes from national news organizations – 43 percentage points higher than Republicans and Republican leaners (35%) – according to a new Pew Research Center survey conducted June 14-27, 2021.
