Russian police have on Thursday made several arrests in Moscow’s Pushkin Square, where Russians have come to protest the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, according to witnesses in Moscow. Footage of protests in the city of St. Petersburg which is Putin’s birthplace also surfaced on social media on Thursday. An unspecified number of Russian citizens were detained by police after demonstrating with posters reading “No to War!” and other anti-Putin messages at Pushkin Square, which has been closed off by police.

Comments:

“Stop Putin stop the war” is what they're saying! Russians this is the time to stand up against despotism, against Putin, against the horror of war! We should do the same with Biden!

They are ashamed of their dictator who has barbarically attacked a peaceful country that posed no threat. Putin is a war criminal and belongs dangling at the end of a rope.

Twitter admitted Wednesday it had accidentally suspended several accounts from Ukraine and elsewhere that were reporting on Russian troop movements and military operations. “We’ve been proactively monitoring for emerging narratives that are violative of our policies, and, in this instance, we took enforcement action on a number of accounts in error,” a Twitter spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We’re expeditiously reviewing these actions and have already proactively reinstated access to a number of affected accounts.”

Klaus Schwab, the ringmaster of festivities at the World Economic Forum in Davos, has been known to tell underlings that he anticipates one day receiving a Nobel Peace Prize. In a surprise to no one else, Oslo has yet to ring. Schwab’s greatest accomplishment is decidedly entrepreneurial. He has developed the Forum from an earnest meeting of policy wonks into a glittering assembly of the world’s richest people. He has achieved this by ingratiating himself with those who wield power, and especially the billionaire class—a tribe known as Davos Man.

The office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is “closely” monitoring the trucker convoy heading to Washington, DC, to protest coronavirus pandemic mandates. “We are monitoring the situation closely but deferred to the USCP, which is in charge of security,” Pelosi’s deputy chief Of staff, Drew Hammill, said in a Tuesday statement to Fox News. A trucker convoy is slated to arrive in D.C. ahead of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address on March 1st.

Who would have thought that Canada would ever be a spark plug for a freedom movement against tyranny? Everything started when Ottawa’s police chief was ousted amid criticism of his inaction against the trucker protests that have paralyzed Canada’s capital for over two weeks, while the number of blockades maintained by demonstrators at the U.S. border dropped to just one. The twin developments came a day after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked Canada’s Emergencies Act and threatened to take tough legal and financial measures to end the unrest in Ottawa and beyond by protesters decrying the country’s COVID-19 restrictions and Trudeau’s government.

Alec Baldwin may have fired the shot that killed “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins without pulling the gun’s trigger, a New Mexico prosecutor says. Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies told Vanity Fair she had watched Alec Baldwin’s bombshell interview with ABC in December and was drawn to the actor’s claim that he did not pull the trigger. “You can pull the hammer back without actually pulling the trigger and without actually locking it,” Carmack-Altwies said. “So you pull it back partway, it doesn’t lock, and then if you let it go, the firing pin can hit the primer of the bullet.”

The Trudeau regime has given up all pretense of free society, as they trample freedoms and human beings in a vicious, Stalin-esque crackdown on free speech. Not just the speech of protesters but of the press as well. The Ottawa government and the Canadian government overall are invoking anti-terror powers to physically assault protesters and reporters, and lying online about what they’re doing, gaslighting the world as they burn down Canada’s veneer of being a free state. Lines of heavily-armed police in Ottawa dramatically thrust forward Saturday morning to gain yet more ground in the operation to smash the truck-protest occupation of the downtown area.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has invoked rarely used emergency powers to try to stop truckers who have gathered in the country’s capital of Ottawa to protest government vaccine mandates required for conducting cross border business. In the United States a poll found that the majority of likely American voters support the truckers — and think a similar protest south of the border is a good idea. Rasmussen Reports found that 59 percent of respondents support the convoy, including 42 percent who “strongly support” it.

Former President Barack Obama issued a message of support for President Joe Biden on Thursday, urging Americans to unite behind economic sanctions against Russia. “Every American, regardless of party, should support President Biden’s efforts, in coordination with our closest allies, to impose hard-hitting sanctions on Russia,” Obama said in a statement sent to reporters, defending Biden’s sanctions as a serious attempt to put “a real price on Russia’s autocratic elites.” Obama’s statement of support for Biden follows his own failure to stop Putin from annexing Crimea in 2014 when he was president. Russian troops have invaded Ukraine from three directions in an all-out war. Ukrainians have had to rush into full civilian mobilization in an attempt to survive it. The Russian invasion of Ukraine isn’t going as easily as I think Vladimir Putin thought it would go. As we noted earlier, they are facing some tough fighting from the Ukrainians as well as thousands of protesters in Russia who have come out against the war. That’s quite something, given the oppressive state of Russia and how they would face immediate retribution. Yet, protesters have come out anyway. Ukraine fought back to recapture an airport the Russians had taken. So, Russia isn’t going to be able to do what they wanted because they haven’t met the goals they were trying to meet by now – which was to seize all

The Secret Service is telling Republican investigators that it cannot find communications related to Hunter Biden’s travels for 2010, 2011, or 2013 — when President Joe Biden was the vice president. Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin sent the Secret Service a letter last month seeking unredacted records tied to Hunter Biden’s travels between January 2009 and January 2017. They asked for full travel records and criticized the agency for years of “inappropriate redactions” — especially related to a controversial Kazakhstan trip in 2014. The senators also lamented that three years of documents seemed to be missing entirely.

The Utah Republican blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on a decade and more of U.S. weakness, also alluding to former President Donald Trump’s foreign-policy slogan. “Putin’s impunity predictably follows our tepid response to his previous horrors in Georgia and Crimea, our naive efforts at a one-sided ‘reset’ and the shortsightedness of ‘America First,’” he said. That has now been confirmed by none other than Vladimir Putin himself. Per an announcement from the Russian president, his military forces are moving into greater Ukraine, including Kyiv, in order to “demilitarize” and “denazify” the sovereign nation. None of this is hypothetical anymore. Explosions are being heard in multiple Ukrainian cities. It is clear that a major military attack is underway.
