The word “inspiring” does not come to mind as a way of describing President Biden’s afternoon speech following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “Dispiriting” comes closer. The best Biden could do rhetorically was to declare that “America stands up to bullies” — as though the most dangerous moment in the past 20 years on the planet Earth were some kind of remake of the old movie “My Bodyguard.”Come on, man. Putin isn’t a bully. He’s either a lunatic pursuing a nation-murdering delusion or a man possessed of a world-historical ambition to make himself an equal in Russian history to the Greats, Peter and Catherine,

The dims live in a world of marketing and perception. Fortunately we are insulated from reality for the most part. But they are are dissolving our wealth and incrementally making up stories about how they’re not doing that.
But reality is encroaching upon bidet’s political one hand washes the other venal existence.
Does he know?

Well John this should make you happy as this is exactly what you voted for, and encouraged others to do likewise.

The DC UniParty now wants to send billions of dollars worth of offensive military equipment to the Ukrainians, but how to they expect to do that if the Russians control all the airports and air bases throughout Ukraine? In DC today the media asked if necessary the US Air Force is going to fly over Ukraine and conduct air drops of military equipment to the Ukrainians, so what would the Russian Air Force and long range Russian anti-aircraft missiles be doing when all that was going on? Another media person asked that if the President of Ukraine was captured, would President Biden Send the US 82nd Airborne Division into Ukraine to rescue him from the Russian Army? Huh!
Chances are the only thing that Biden is going to do is attempt to bring as many Ukrainian refugees into the US as possible, who he and the Democrats believe can be transformed into future Democrat voters. No doubt the wimpy Republicans will go along with that.

Joey had the look - eyes squinted to look tough, but he failed because he always looks like that. What else can one expect from a senile old man who was foisted on us by election fraud?

Poster #1 -- are you kidding? Dr. Jill's long years rearranging her life so she could be called "first lady." She was willing to put her demented husband on display for her own desires. You are right! Resign and "get outta here.". And take the ugly son with you.

When you go directly from academia to government and spend 50 years there it is small wonder you don’t know how to do anything. Like most lefties they live in a parallel universe of the perpetually stupid.

Whenever I hear a modern politician squawk about democracy like a broken parrot, I know that there is money in it somewhere for them and theirs.
Ukraine isn't worth the first American life, period. We have had almost three and a half decades since the fall of the Soviet Union to do something concerning Eastern Europe. The only solution put forth was to make former Soviet satellite nations into NATO members. That wasn't a solution; it was naked military ambition to have military hegemony on Russia's doorstep. It was and is a fools errand.
So, where does this leave us? Well, the toothless tool that is POTUS-INO have created a total mess. Perhaps those NATO members that POTUS Trump lectured will get off their combined arses and start taking their responsibilities seriously. As for drill, baby drill, I think we should let Western Europe stew a little on their poor decision to buy most of their oil and gas from Russia. We should ramp up production to supply them, but the cost must be considerable for them. They have shirked their defense responsibilities for decades. No energy without reforms. And reforms are cheaper than getting in bed with Russian energy businesses.
As for Ukraine, there is no solution in which the investment of our resources at this point make any difference. Putin won't destroy it. His bosses in the cutthroat oligarchy that supports him do not want that. There's no money in it. And in the end, that's what this is really about.

Why is John Podhoretz complaining? As an anti-Trump fanatic, with Biden as president he has gotten what he voted for. Were Trump president this invasion, along with all the evils Biden has wrought on our nation, would not be happening. The Never Trump crowd should have the decency to keep their trite opinions to themselves.

What's with the "We'll win " crap. We'll win what? Biteme's/Obozo's decisions on Jan.20th 2021 guaranteed we weren't going to win anything even if we tried. When they shut down the oil production in this country, they took away any option of confronting Russia or anyone else.

Podhoretz's comparison between Zhou Bi Den's speech with directions on how to use fungus cream from your podiatrist was comic gold and I will steal it.
Else, shut up Pod and FJB!
