The Pentagon is expected to approve the deployment of 700 to 800 unarmed National Guard troops to the nation's capital, a U.S. official said Tuesday, in the face of trucker convoys that are planning protests against pandemic restrictions beginning next week. The District of Columbia government - including Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser - and the U.S. Capitol Police are requesting the National Guard assistance. The troops would be used largely to help control traffic and are expected to come from the district's National Guard and three states, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss aid not yet formally approved.

What a bunch of self important nobodies. I think they're afraid of their own shadows - the truckers aren't going to hurt anyone just like the J6 didn't hurt anyone. If anyone gets hurt, it will be the truckers as we all know. Two unarmed women were murdered on Jan. 6th and no one will be arrested for it. How's that for biden's justice system.

The DC Capitol District, just like its counterpart in the Hunger Games, is panicking. Expect the same kind of authoritarian moves perpetrated by FJT in Ottawa to be inacted upon the Freedom Convoy participants in the coming weeks. FJB will imitate FJT. Freedom or Authoritarian Rule. Freedom or comfort. Freedom at the expense of inconvenience. Expect trucks to be parked for months. Let the National Guard stock the shelves and man the supply chain as FJB loses complete control.

So, where were all these guardsmen when Antifa/BLM was burning, looting and attacking the police in DC? Oh, I remember. Bowser was too busy with a paint roller in her hands helping to paint “Black Lives Matter” on the street in front of the WH using taxpayer money to pay for it, to do anything about that burned out church across the street. I hope that these guardsmen remember sleeping on the parking garage floor in the January cold and act accordingly.

History, as the saying goes, has a tendency to repeat itself. I am concerned that this could result in another Boston Massacre if tensions get out of control between guardsmen and truckers. The American character is nothing like that of the Canadian and the strong-arm tactics used in Canada will ignite a powder keg here in the States.

They know they are wrong, they know this is unnecessary. You can tell because if they were right, the fascists would need a lot more than 800 troops. A WHOLE LOT MORE. This is more political theater, and as usual - the Democrats' Campaign tacts are paid for by the US Taxpayers.

I have a bad feeling about this. I hope for the sake of the truckers and our civil liberties that I am wrong, but the progressives are looking for ways to consolidate power. All they need is a few minor incidents staged for the media cameras and they won’t hesitate to follow Jussie Trudeau’s lead.

Let's recall January 20, 2016, President Trump's Inauguration Day when the Leftists and Antifa rioted and burned vehicles, robbed and looted stores in DC. Everyone knew it was coming. Yet no extra police or National Guard were posted in advance of the Inauguration.

If the truckers come to the D.C. area, they will be miles away from the Capitol blocking a six lane highway that is known as the beltway or route 495. Most traffic going north or south use I-95/495. The only time traffic moves relatively freely on 495 is between the hours of 9:30am and 11am, and sometime after midnight. During the week, it's a roadblock in and of itself most of the time. A few trucks placed in strategic places on 495 will create a backup starting south in Richmond Virginia and north to Baltimore. There will be no need for too many truckers to venture into D.C. proper to hamper travel. The D.C. City Road grid is a mass of one way streets which slows traffic all by itself. The national guard will be used to direct traffic in the city, not to protect the elite from the scum of the earth.

The joke will be on her when that many troops block Washington's streets without help from the truckers. Do the simpletons in charge expect the soldiers to sleep in parking garages again? The truckers don't have to set one wheel in DC, just surround the place like it was the Little Big Horn.

It appears that our own U. S. truckers are falling into the same democrat trap Trump supporters did on Jan 6 over 13 months ago. It would seem to be more effective for truckers to unite on a total inside-the-DC-beltway embargo. "No freedom; no delivery." Interrupt the DC stream-of-commerce if you want to get attention without being tossed into jail for over a year without due process. Force the National Guard troops to scramble like Keystone Cops as they try and fail to keep the stores supplied. Let the people of DC, MD, and VA, who feed at the federal trough, feel the inefficiencies associated with government trying to do the job of the private sector. Put some hunger in the bellies of the people calling for nuking citizens who may disagree with them.

President Joe Biden has been criticized after he stated outright that 'no one' expected sanctions that were imposed on Russia 'to prevent the invasion' of Ukraine. He made the candid remarks during Thursday afternoon's press conference over the situation in Eastern Europe. Reporters were quick to take the president to task over what appeared to be a changing stance on whether sanctions, economic or otherwise, were effective in any way. 'No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening,' Biden said in what was a complete reversal to what he had said previously.

I have contended frequently that our jury system is woefully defective because unscrupulous prosecutors and personal injury lawyers can easily find uninformed and easily manipulated rubber stamps as opposed to the educated and responsible citizens envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Examples include, in my opinion, the prosecution of Kyle Rittenhouse despite the prosecution's own stipulation that the three men he shot were not only the initial aggressors but pursued Rittenhouse when he tried to retreat from the conflicts they started. Another was Scott Harshbarger (D-Mass.)'s prosecution and conviction of the Amiraults "to protect the children."
