On the Anniversary of Rush Limbaugh's
Passing, He Still Wants You to Know: 'It's
Never Time to Panic'

Kathryn Limbaugh took Fox News into the home she shared with the great Rush Limbaugh for an exclusive interview one year after the death of the talk radio giant. “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Kathryn about her husband’s legacy in a touching segment that will not leave a dry eye across Dittohead Nation.Kathryn has been gracious in sharing her grief with Rush’s audience, who also feel that they’ve lost a family member. “I’m doing well for the most part,” said Kathryn. “It’s been very difficult, but knowing how many people are out there praying for me, praying for Rush, I very much think this was the nation’s loss.”

I still can't believe the grief I still feel for someone I didn't know personally. Hearing his voice again today was wonderful. We really need him now but, because his Conservative message was always clear and consistent, and he gave us all so much context, and applying his principles in each upsetting situation over the years, we always will know what he would say with each new crisis. He never "read the room" and said what he knew they wanted him to say. He didn't try to please everyone and switch back and forth when the wind was blowing. Truth is truth. It cannot be changed. He was so much like my Dad was. Over the years I have wished him back to talk me down over something, but, because he was consistent, I always know what that advice would be. Clay and Buck are trying but they don't come close to the insight and humor of Rush. I think they are just too young to analyze the way Rush did, and they need to cut some of their "go to" phrases, in many ways, so to speak. I think that I will always miss my friend and our daily visits. He was with me on vacations, in the hospital, and during every school pick up. Love you and miss you Rush.

Very few people walk the earth that contribute to the lives of others for over a quarter century, and then are fully remembered and grieved a year after their passing. Sitting with the other greats in Heaven, I'm sure Rush was pleased.

The thing I enjoyed about Rush the most was the humor. Back when Hillary was being investigated for something to do with the Rose Law Firm Rush would have sound effects for another document being tossed into an industrial strength paper shredder. Today Lucianne cartoon reminded me of that. Rush knew how to mix hard news with humor.

Rush was the Patrick Henry of our time...a true patriot. The testament to HOW good he was at what he did ...is that NO ONE has come anywhere near close to replacing him.

Like poster # 1 I still choke up whenever I think about Rush. He was a bulwark, a port in the storm, an older brother and a genius, really, in so many ways. Rush was and always will be an honorary member of the Ford household. We have all adjusted to his loss in our own ways, but adjustments are never the Real Thing. I would encourage my fellow L-Dotters who have not done so to give Clay and Buck a fair shot. Of course they will never replace Rush in the fullest sense, as they have been the first to acknowledge. But I honestly believe that the Maha is in their corner today, pulling for their success - the same success he wanted for all Americans. Rush, may the All Seeing, All Knowing and All Caring hold you in His light forever.

Ok probably an unpopular opinion here. I loved Rush Limbaugh. I subscribed to his website and his newsletter for years. He was remarkable. I was turned off a bit by this interview. Rush was not a saint and he would’ve been the first person to tell you that. Catherine’s comments were longwinded and over the top. She seemed anxious for us to know that she was a ‘business executive’ although the few startups she did with Rush’s financial backing were failures. She did not impress me. He certainly did.

I cherish the memories of the times when I was a caller on his radio show. James Golden (Bo Snerdley) is on WABC in NYC 1 hour a day and 2 hours on Saturday morning. I read James' book about Rush. James contributed a lot to Rush's success (researching and writing) Sometimes when I listen to James, I feel like I'm listening to Rush with a glorious deep voice. Do you think the Smithsonian Museum of American History will have an exhibit about Rush?

A Russian invasion force of armoured tanks painted with a letter 'Z' and huge convoys were seen rolling towards the Ukraine border - as the eastern region continues to be rocked by shelling and British expats have vowed to 'fight like devils'. Around 200 military vehicles were spotted in Shebekino, Russia, just across the border from Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast, with 'Z' markings 'applied hastily' to the backs of most vehicles. It is suspected the markings have been allocated for specific roles amid rising tensions over an imminent invasion, with footage showing the letters sprayed on tanks, self-propelled guns, fuel trucks and supply vehicles.
