Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was a 'monster' who would stop at nothing to satisfy himself sexually, his ex-girlfriend Sondra Theodore claimed in the fourth episode of the A&E 10-part documentary Secrets of Playboy that aired on Monday night.
Theodore, who dated Hefner from 1976 to 1981, opened up in the episode about the abuse she says she endured while they dated and the trauma she experienced at the Playboy Mansion.
Among the 65-year-old's claims were that Hefner would force her to sleep with other men and women while he recorded it, that she once walked in on him fondling their dog and that he expressed an interest

Is it any surprise that Hefner was a big supporter of the Democrat Party?

She was a participant in the debauchery and it took years before she walked away from it. Not to defend Hefnerstein but just like Epstein and Weinstein, everyone knew what was going on and it was part of the elite lifestyle; The same elite which still looks down their noses at we hoi polloi.

I would say it was pretty much understood that Hefner took advantage of women, was outrageous in his sexual urges, and a lot of hedonistic stuff going on in the mansion.
Some of her stories seem a bit outrageous, and whyb did she wait until now to bring them up.
Pretty sure she was a part of it, as were all of the bunnies. They didn't go there as naïve virgins, they went there for the notoriety, for the money and for the sex.
Those who didn't go there for that left pretty quick, or didn't go at all.

In a January 1974 20th Anniversary Playboy interview Hefner himself spoke, and I recall him saying, "I get laid a lot." Bottom line, that's what he really wanted. And he got what he wanted, did every one he could do, no matter the cost to the thousands of woman he consorted with. If the DM text in this article is true to real life, one might suspect that the cost to Mr. Playboy of having everything he wanted was his own soul.
Of course, Hef was a lefty politically. His leftward politics were not only fashionable in his entertainment milieu, but required. Libertines almost have to be liberals...everywhere, including in the sack. Concerning the metaphorical girlie mag bird cage of the late 20th Century, Playboy represented the handle above, being somewhat less degraded than the main competitors. One can use the handle to haul away the entire messy cage and the filthy bird. Penthouse represented the perch from which the parrot launched the excrement. Hustler is the newspaper floor of the cage--probably WaPo or NYT--covered in poop.
From time to time my mentor William F. Buckley, Jr. contributed essays to Playboy, wanting to reach the tiny portion of the magazine's readership that went for the "kulchur." Joe Sobran, in National Review 47 or so years ago wrote an article about Hefner, and called him--this is from memory--"an oddly deferential bull in the china shop of culture." That one was good enough for almost half a century's worth of mirth. Absolutely perfect.

Hugh isn't around to dispute this, so we have to take the girl's word for it. So how come they DIDN'T LEAVE? Where were the chains holding them? Or did they put up with it at the time because of all the attention they were getting? They used Heff too!

Watch this series it's really good and informative - we haven't watched the latest episode we have them recorded so we don't have to watch the commercials.
Hefner was a crazy man drunk on power, sex and money.

Another woman who, while young, participated in wild crazy sexual antics and now regrets what she did. While she was doing it, I imagine more than one person in her life said she shouldnt. But she most likely "knew what she was doing" and "It was her body" and "Sex is so liberating" Now, completely ignored and no longer desired, she wants some attention and will damn the things she willingly took part in
My 20 yo daughter, discussing the similarly minded "Me too" movement (What happened to them anyway?)..... "Just a bunch of women who arent mad because the powerful directors are having sex with starlets so they can get jobs. They are mad because the powerful directors stopped!"

He was debased, a monster, and she dated him for five years! LOL. That's like the old joke about a bad restaurant, "The food is terrible and the portions are so small!"

This is or should be nothing new. Lefties knew about these things decades ago and covered for him. In the 1970’s one of the first well known porn stars Linda Lovelace said that Hefner tried to have her have sex with a dog. Even in the 70’s no one seemed concerned.

I always thought that Hugh Hefner was a massively evil man, who used women under the guise of "sexually liberating" them. So many of the problems we have today in our society are because of him and the feminists of the 1960's, who turned their backs on God's plan and replaced it with the sexually deviant plans of Satan. By making sexual perversion and immorality the norm, we have massive problems today (massive numbers of abortions, an epidemic of single mother homes, STD's, pornography, homosexuality and transgenderism being "normalized", etc, etc, etc).
But I equally have a problem with these types of one-sided hit pieces that they do after a person is dead. He should have been challenged before he died, forced to address these issues, and these women should have come forward then. Even though what he did was indefensible, he still deserved to be able to try to defend himself -- which you can't do once you are dead.

I'm happy this story is being told.
It shows that liberal "liberation" is really slavery, that "empowerment" is really debasement, and "free love" is really rape and hatred.
These pigs: Bill Clinton, Epstein, Weinstein, Ted Kennedy, Hugh Hefner were held up as champions for women.
No, they were pigs who ran a scam that is the Democrat party and used, raped, and abused women.
They are the real War on Women.

One chapter in Ian Fleming's novel Dr. No was entitled "Mink-Lined Prison." That's what Hef ran.

No, she doesn't like monsters. This monster made her an offer she couldn't refuse. She complied. As long as Hefner was alive, the hive stayed away from his dive. Now it's okay for them to speak out.
I bought the magazines for twenty years, even with the Updike fiction and the WFB essays. I'm complicit and guilty, too. Stories like these concentrate minds. Might even lead to repentance and change.

As time goes on, it takes more to satisfy an addiction. Obviously, Hefner was problematic. Not a surprise given the lifestyle he lived.

Ummm... those who are wondering how she could date a monster for 5 years...
Very few people introduce themselves as monsters. The reveal tends to take a long time and, like a frog in the proverbial hot water, often the process slowly get to a breaking point.
Cut the woman some slack. She was young. Hefner was old and rich. He used her. She was not an innocent for sure, but I can believe her story.
