Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer falsely claimed Thursday that the Supreme Court was made up of "all White men" until 1981, skipping over the late Justice Thurgood Marshall, who was appointed by Lyndon B. Johnson in 1967. "The president’s pledge to name a Black woman to the Supreme Court is historic," Schumer said during floor remarks about President Biden’s forthcoming Supreme Court nomination. "Until 1981, this powerful body, the Supreme Court, was all White men. Imagine. America wasn't all White men in 1981, or ever," Schumer continued. "Under President Biden and this Senate majority, we're taking historic steps to make the courts look more like the country

Didn't he filibuster Thomas?? Biden certainly did...and Bork."Perhaps the best-known use of the verb "to bork" occurred in July 1991 at a conference of the National Organization for Women in New York City. Feminist Florynce Kennedy addressed the conference on the importance of defeating the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the U.S. Supreme Court, saying, "We're going to bork him. We're going to kill him politically. This little creep, where did he come from?"

The Country is predominately Protestant Christians. There isn't one single Protestant Christian on the court. Odd no one mentions that when they say the court should look more like the country. It's almost like they don't mean it, but rather want to exploit various groups from their votes.

US trucker convoy coming: Joe Biden will

As hard as it is to imagine, President Biden’s political fortunes are about to get worse. The massive trucker convoy that crossed Canada to protest against that country’s new vaccine mandates will almost certainly be replicated in the U.S. and will bring with it huge headaches for the Biden White House. Biden pretends to be the champion of the “little guy”; he claims to support blue-collar workers. Truckers are exactly the kind of folks Biden is meant to embrace, but he will not do that. The drivers protesting the vaccine mandates have already been portrayed by the liberal media as right-wing zealots

Resentment over Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer’s stewardship of the Senate boiled over Thursday, with more than two-thirds of the chamber circumventing the leader in backing a bipartisan proposal to speed up the pace of voting. In total 68 lawmakers — 35 Republicans and 33 Democrats — have signed onto a proposal by Sen. Thom Tillis that would curtail the time allotted for voting on legislation and nominations. Mr. Tillis, North Carolina Republican, began circulating the proposal this week after the Senate took roughly 50 minutes each to approve three of President Biden’s judicial nominees.

They’re quick to claim it’s for purposes of calling out supposed “misinformation” and “right-wing nuttery,” but the reality of it is that Carlson is the most monitored cable news show host out there because he’s so maddeningly popular, and his critics – most of who are on the far left, are anxious to witness that one moment they think will spell doom

To the extent that Democrats haven’t fully conceded Florida going into the November election, the latest polling out of the state may represent a breaking point. Suffolk University/USA Today released what I believe is the first credible, non-partisan survey of the races going on there, and the results are fire and brimstone for the Democrats involved. Gov. Ron DeSantis holds a commanding lead over both of his likely opponents, including Nikki Fried, who is fresh off trying to accuse the governor of not condemning white supremacy. On the Senate front, Sen. Marco Rubio is trouncing Rep. Val Demmings, who was framed as a strong candidate when she announced.

Americans seem to be turned off by Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nomination strategy. In a new ABC News/Ipsos poll of U.S. adults, more than three-quarters of respondents said Biden should “consider all possible nominees” to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer, rather than “consider only nominees who are Black women, as he has pledged to do.” Even 54 percent of Democrats said they’d prefer Biden take the wide-net approach. This may come as an unwelcome surprise to the White House, but it makes perfect sense to those of us who’ve been following Biden’s blundering attempts to discuss race and gender in politics over the past two years.

Sen. It’s dead,” Manchin again confirmed. Meanwhile, supporters of the legislation swayed their hips to music performed by a jazz band outside the Senate office buildings.

The Lancet, published since 1823, is universally recognized as one of the top medical publications in the world, though it damaged its reputation by publishing and then subsequently retracting a study attacking the use of hydroxychloroquine as a therapy for COVID. Still, the retraction was the right thing to do, and it is hardly unprecedented in the history of academic and medical publishing. In an article published January 19, The Lancet throws cold water on those merchants of panic who wish to use COVID as an excuse to rob people of their civil rights. A new super-mutant HIV strain that makes infected individuals ill twice as fast as current versions of the virus has been detected in the Netherlands. The new mutant—called the VB variant—has infected at least 109 people, according to a study by Oxford University. The strain damages the immune system and weakens a person's ability to fight everyday infections and disease faster than previous versions of the virus. It means those who catch this strain could develop AIDS more quickly. The VB variant also has a viral load between 3.5 and 5.5 times higher than the current strain, meaning infected people are more likely to transmit the virus
