WASHINGTON - The Pentagon said on Monday it is in active discussions with Eastern European allies about possible U.S. troop deployments to NATO's eastern flank, as Washington moves to reassure jittery NATO allies in the face of a Russian military buildup near Ukraine. Any decisions on new troop movements would be separate from the some 8,500 forces in the United States who were put on alert last week to potentially bolster a NATO rapid response force, the Pentagon said, adding context to President Joe Biden's comments on Friday about potential near-term deployments to Eastern Europe. Just more Biden smoke to screen the fact that he has abandoned his legal obligations to both protect our sovereignty and enforce our immigration laws. Biden and his radicals are pretending to care about protecting the sanctity of Ukraine’s borders while opening our southern border to a massive invasion by illegals. Illegals who are then secretly flown to the US city of their choice without concern for the negative impact on US citizens. And Republicans are actively supporting Biden’s efforts to either provoke a war with Russia or cause the collapse of the Ukrainian economy.

What is the Republican Party going to DO to stop this idiocy? They could impeach him and though they can't at this point win, they could through the effort thoroughly inform Americans about exactly what is going on and why it would be-- yet another-- Biden catastrophe. I am tired of the endless line of slick Republicans stepping up to the mic and cameras to say that this or that Biden debacle is "serious" or "scary." Damn right it is scary to watch a feeble-minded tyrant destroy our country while the "opposition party" stands around with their thumbs... well, I'll let it go at that.

It really depends on what the troops orders are. If their orders are to kill as many Russians invading Ukraine as they can, that is some mighty serious patootie bang-bang. But I suspect their orders will be to install transgender potties in Latvia and Poland. Which is not bang-bang at all

I can't help but think that perhaps, just maybe, the regime is blowing this up to distract the voters from every other issue, and hope for something that they can claim as a win. Historically, Americans rally around the flag and President in times of war. (Unless its a Republican president and democrats figure they can get mileage out of attacking him.

Biden seems determined to get the Russians to invade Ukraine. Hope he isn't sending our troops to be a welcoming committee to assist the invasion like he has done with the border patrol on our southern border.

They probably intend to fly thousands of USA troops to Germany to be united with pre stocked heavy military equipment before the troops move on to some current front line NATO countries. But they better make sure that Germany will allow the troops to land in that country, as it has been reported that Germany has refused overflight permission to UK RAF transport aircraft bringing military supplies to Ukraine.

The Senate Commerce Committee delayed a vote scheduled for Wednesday for Gigi Sohn, a Democratic nominee to the Federal Communications Commission, because of the illness of a senator. Alvaro Bedoya, nominated to be a commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, also won’t get a Wednesday vote, according to a revised agenda released late Tuesday by the panel. U.S. companies unexpectedly cut jobs in January for the first time in a year, as a surge in the highly contagious omicron coronavirus variant battered the labor market's recovery from the pandemic, according to the ADP National Employment Report released Wednesday morning. Companies shed 301,000 jobs last month, sharply missing the 207,000-job gain that economists surveyed by Refinitiv had predicted and a major drop from the downwardly revised gain of 776,000 in December. It marked the first time that ADP reported negative growth since December 2020, when companies shed 123,000 jobs before the vaccines were available. "The labor market recovery

Seoul, South Korea — North Korea said on Monday that it test-launched an intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of reaching the U.S. territory of Guam, or the U.S. military base on the Japanese island of Okinawa. It was the North's most significant weapon launch in years, as Washington plans steps to show its commitment to its Asian allies. Sunday's launch could be a prelude to bigger provocations by Pyongyang, such as nuclear and long-range missile tests that pose a direct threat to the U.S. mainland, as the North tries to further pressure the Biden administration to win sanction relief or international recognition

COLUMBIA, S.C. — At President Joe Biden’s lowest moment in the 2020 campaign, South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn came to him with a suggestion: He should pledge to put the first Black woman on the Supreme Court. After some cajoling, Biden made the promise at a Democratic debate, a move Clyburn credits with turning out the Black support that helped Biden score a resounding victory in the South Carolina primary and ultimately win the White House. Two years later, the hoped-for vacancy on the court has arrived with the retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer. Biden is standing by his pledge.

Generally speaking, I am not a fan of polls. For one, I’ve never been polled by anyone. For another, the number of people being polled often strikes me as too small a sample from which to draw broad conclusions. Also, those samples more often than not tend to oversample one group, Democrats, let’s say, over another group, which again leads to questions of accuracy. Bottom line, I don’t trust ‘em and tend to ignore them in preference to the only poll that actually counts, the election itself. I’ve often asked myself, what would I do if I were to be contacted to participate in a poll.
