White House frustrations grow over health
chief Becerra’s handling of pandemic

White House officials have grown so frustrated with top health official Xavier Becerra as the pandemic rages on that they have openly mused about who might be better in the job, although political considerations have stopped them from taking steps to replace him, officials involved in the discussions said. Top White House officials have had an uneasy relationship with Becerra, the health and human services secretary, since early in President Biden’s term. But their dissatisfaction has escalated in recent months as the omicron variant has sickened millions of Americans in a fifth pandemic wave amid confusing and sometimes conflicting messages

Comments:

He was nominated with great fanfare for being Laxtinx (as liberals say) . No other qualifications were required. Like all other Biden appointees he has been a huge flop.

The most important thing is diversity. Without diversity, there is no wokeness. Diversity is what makes our response to Covid great. We have strength in diversity. Or, Quota is as Quota does. Unfortunately, Biden's policies of live by the quota means we die by the quota.

Surprise, surprise, surprise! All of Bidenho's/Obama's picks are because of some socio/economic reason or beholden from previous political benefit. Qalifications be damned . . . Becerra is of the "right' minority, the right color, etc., etc., and by that, he's gotta be good. Becerra's qualifications for his office is non-existent!!

What's different about him as compared to Buttigieg, Granholm, etc. None of them seem to be doing anything substantial, just sitting back and collecting the big bucks. This administration can't do anything right. They're are totally incompetent, because they are dumb, and they do everything for political reasons. They are not presidential, just democrat political operatives.

Nobody could do the job well since the agenda is to get everybody jabbed and forget about treatments. The emphasis on vaccines has to be questioned with open minds. The side effects from this approach are disastrous causing serious problems in our young people and must stop. Then, a full investigation into the universal jab plot.

Hector Becerra is an ugly guy who knows absolutely nothing about health issues. A token Mexican brought from California where he’d been wreaking havoc in the state government. Local papers in our part of California repeatedly begged Biden to not nominate him and the Senate to not confirm him. He’s that bad.

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon said on Monday it is in active discussions with Eastern European allies about possible U.S. troop deployments to NATO's eastern flank, as Washington moves to reassure jittery NATO allies in the face of a Russian military buildup near Ukraine. Any decisions on new troop movements would be separate from the some 8,500 forces in the United States who were put on alert last week to potentially bolster a NATO rapid response force, the Pentagon said, adding context to President Joe Biden's comments on Friday about potential near-term deployments to Eastern Europe. Seoul, South Korea — North Korea said on Monday that it test-launched an intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of reaching the U.S. territory of Guam, or the U.S. military base on the Japanese island of Okinawa. It was the North's most significant weapon launch in years, as Washington plans steps to show its commitment to its Asian allies. Sunday's launch could be a prelude to bigger provocations by Pyongyang, such as nuclear and long-range missile tests that pose a direct threat to the U.S. mainland, as the North tries to further pressure the Biden administration to win sanction relief or international recognition

COLUMBIA, S.C. — At President Joe Biden’s lowest moment in the 2020 campaign, South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn came to him with a suggestion: He should pledge to put the first Black woman on the Supreme Court. After some cajoling, Biden made the promise at a Democratic debate, a move Clyburn credits with turning out the Black support that helped Biden score a resounding victory in the South Carolina primary and ultimately win the White House. Two years later, the hoped-for vacancy on the court has arrived with the retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer. Biden is standing by his pledge.

A median two-bedroom apartment saw rent prices jump more than 14%. The median price for a one-bedroom rent reached $1,374 in January. The median price of a two-bedroom apartment reached $1,698.
