Nebraska removing mascot’s ‘OK’

The “OK” hand signal is no longer OK at the University of Nebraska. Nebraska has updated the image of its mascot to avoid a connection with White supremacism. The mascot is now pictured holding up the “No. 1” instead of forming the “OK” signal with his hand. Herbie Husker, a cartoon mascot for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, had shown the “OK” hand sign for almost 50 years, but the university is making the revision after learning the same gesture has developed a connection in recent years to some far-right extremists. The change to Herbie Husker was first reported by the Flatwater Free Press on Friday. “That hand gesture could,

Comments:

Of course that mascot is a white supremacist. Just look at him; he's depicted as White. For maximum diversity and inclusion, redo him as a racially ambiguous soyboy, swap out the cob in his pocket for a sex toy, and proudly rebrand the team as the Nebraska Cornholers.

Is there ANY documented incident of the "OK" sign being used in a white supremacist context? I submit that the Left is gaslighting by fixing on some random symbol and screaming "racism!", to keep the culture off balance.

They say that Nebraska is a Republican State, in reality Nebraska has been humming along with a very liberal State Republican Party, that has had no problem nominating liberal Republicans for the Senate and as Congressional Representatives who once they arrive in DC start showing their RINO political colors.

It started in early 2017 as a hoax. Users of 4chan, an anonymous and unrestricted online message board, began what they called “Operation O-KKK,” to see if they could trick the wider world — and especially, liberals and the mainstream media — into believing that the innocuous gesture was actually a clandestine symbol of white power. “We must flood Twitter and other social media websites with spam, claiming that the OK hand signal is a symbol of white supremacy,” one of the users posted, going on to suggest that everyone involved creating fake social media accounts “with basic white girl names” to propagate the notion as widely as possible. Apparently, it's worked according to plan. The Leftists found another hate symbol to flex their wailing and whining complaints over, and enough other people bought in to make it real.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is facing a congressional probe after reports emerged alleging the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) spent millions of taxpayer dollars on a cruel experiment, injecting beagle puppies with cocaine. The non-profit watchdog organization White Coat Waste Project (WCW) reported on another cruel experiment allegedly funded by taxpayers. According to WCW’s findings, via a Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] request, “seven 6-month-old beagle puppies were trained to wear a jacket” which “served a cruel purpose: to inject the animal wearing it with drugs.” Puppies were then dosed with cocaine repeatedly “for months” with what WCW described as an “‘experimental compound,’

They are a versatile fashion accessory and a staple in every woman's wardrobe. But now researchers say wearing ladies tights on your face could slash your risk of getting Covid. One of the criticisms aimed at commonly worn face coverings is that they do not fit tightly enough to significantly block viral particles from being inhaled or exhaled. As part of a new study, Cambridge University experts reviewed a variety of DIY hacks people have used to make masks fit better, including using rubber bands or tape. Curiously, they found the most effective tactic was to wrap pantyhose around the bottom half of the face—on top of a mask.

Grocery runs have gotten more expensive. Anyone who has taken a look at their receipts in the last few months can tell that prices have gone up on nearly everything from chicken wings to milk as inflation levels reached heights we haven't seen in decades. The cost of food that people eat at home rose 6.5% in December compared to the same month the year before. That's well above what people were used to. Over the last 20 years, the cost of supermarket purchases rose about 2% a year on average. "If you are not careful, you are going to have a full cart and be shocked at how much

An internal review last year, prompted by a workplace complaint, found evidence that Lander, the director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy and science adviser to President Biden, bullied staffers and treated them disrespectfully. That put him at odds with Biden‘s day-one directive that he expected “honesty and decency” from all who worked for his administration and would fire anyone who shows disrespect to others “on the spot.”
