Former President Donald Trump pledged to pardon people jailed for storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 while again teasing a potential 2024 bid during a campaign-style rally in Texas on Saturday evening. During his Save America rally in Conroe, the former president claimed that his supporters who broke into the Capitol last year are being treated ‘unfairly’ by President Joe Biden.‘If I run, and if I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly. We will treat them fairly,’ he said to enthusiastic applause.

Pardon them for what, accepting an invitation from the Capitol Police for a guided tour of the building? Trump should be talking about jail for Pelosi for false imprisonment.

They could have said enthusiastic instead of raucous. But no!

There is also a cold blooded murderer that needs to be prosecuted.

The Jan 6 that are in prison are being used as an example. This administration is telling the conservatives and Trump supporters that they can keep you in prison forever. They are sending a message, don't ever rally again in DC or we will get you and put you in jail. This is all political.
AND yes, I'm waiting for justice for Ashli Abbott. When will that trigger happy Capital police Lt be charge with murder? He should be indicted the same as the police were with George Floyd.

Hopefully they will not stay in the DC jail illegally for 3 more years until they can be released.

The jailers should be brought up on charges. All of them!

I have such mixed feelings about Trump, despite a literal 25 texts per day asking for $ backing. I really like what he did as president, really FOR us and using the pragmatism of a businessman to achieve his goals despite massive odds and corruption. (Sawell, by the way, is still on the Intel Committee. That says it all re: Pelosi and those who back her.) BUT the reason we are in the impotent mess we are are in now in the Senate is because Trump put his ego in Ga. ahead of the good of the country and convinced Trump Republicans not to vote for Senators. We are HELPLESS because of Trump's ego. Until he gets OFF the I was robbed (and I think he was) 2020 election etc. and starts talking about actual voting reform in the future I can't vote for him.

I voted for Trump twice and have deep appreciation for his many accomplishments. But his childish ego, massive narcissism, destroyed his political career. If he runs again, he will lose again, because half the country despises him. We need someone who has Trumps boldness and intelligence without the personality disorders. If Trump then supports that person, we will win in a landslide. At this point, if there is any hope for our country, it has to be all about winning.

#1, pardon them if they are convicted of a crime. Trump's "pledge" is going to set Liz Cheney's hair on fire.

##8 and 9. Trump did not tell Republicans not to vote in the runoff in Georgia. Or not that I can recall. Please cite your source. I do recall that he held a rally in Georgia for the GOP candidates. I specifically recall Kelly Loeffler speaking there. Why would he hold a rally if he didn't want Republicans to vote? And #9, It wasn't Trump's ego that lost the election. It was targeted private money in the swing states that harvested mail-in ballots, which were illegally allowed in many states. Georgia was at the center of the "rigging" if you don't want to call it a steal.

I was disappointed he did not support the nurses that have been fired for not being vaccinated. They were not even mentioned. That is a serious oversight. Trump is afraid of taking on the medical nazis. I was also disappointed that he endorsed the Republican establishment in Texas for the primary election, not even considered primary challengers. Many of the Texas Republican establishment are very weak, and mostly Bush types on the state level. Abbott may speak well to Trump on the phone for his political life, but he has been weak. The only thing that is saving Abbott is that there are many candidates running against him in the primaries that will split the votes. Abbott may be forced into a runoff, but will likely succeed, and we will have another term of getting nothing done, our borders left open, our electricity grid still not fixed, the cities left in control of the Democrats, and Texas elections fraudulent so that Democrats are within a couple of percentage points of stealing some major positions.

Raucous? They evidently never witnessed a BLM or ANTIFA gathering. The Daily Mail has disintegrated to a Left-Wing propaganda rag that would have hung Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill who were the only Brits who put their country on the right track.

When Republicans gain control of the House and Senate in '22 midterms, they should make 45 the Speaker of the House. They should impeach the entire Biden administration. They should close down the Democrats' Gitmo and release the Democrat political prisoners. They should arrest and prosecute the Democrat criminals and those Republicans responsible and complicit for the detention of the political prisoners.

Unfortunately, at that point in early 2025, how many will still even be alive in the dungeons of DC?

As he should. Issue such a pardon, I mean.
No pardons for the guards, the prosecutors, and the J6 committee members.
