The Biden administration has canceled two leases near Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness — a remote, lake-pocked region at the center of a blistering fight over whether to mine near one of the nation’s most popular wilderness destinations. On Wednesday, the Interior Department said it found that the leases to extract copper, nickel and other valuable hardrock minerals in northern Minnesota were improperly renewed under Donald Trump. The Biden administration’s decision will help protect the hundreds of lakes, streams and wetlands in the 1.1 million-acre wilderness area hugging the Canadian border from the potential toxic leaching from mining.

What was that mine the EPA messed up and all those toxins spilled into an Arizona river. It was never reported properly as Odumbo was President at the time. Rats don’t care about the environment, they only care about politics.

More jobs cancel, higher prices on these minerals and more misery (inflation) for the working people of America.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you - the biggest waste for a president ever, if it's bad for the US xiden is all for it.

Re: #2 - The 2015 Gold King Mine disaster happened along the Animas River in Colorado, one of the country's most beautiful rivers, near Durango, CO and was totally unnecessary and caused by faulty bureaucratic "clean up" efforts by our illustrious EPA. Radioactive material was released, as well as toxic chemicals from mine tailing contamination.

There is a Term for that "Abrogation of Contract"...without consent. Biden does a LOT of that, even when those projects and contracts have little or NOTHING at all to do with National borders, international trade, National Defense or foreign policy, where under the constitution his ONLY authority lies.
Abrogation Doctrine reserves actions/contracts etc within a state TO that state.

If it cannot be grown, it has to be mined.

Improperly renewed? Sounds like bull to me. These could be a lot of good jobs. But nothing that is good for America is ever approved by Dems.

As in so many of Biden‘s malicious actions, this was done out of undiluted spite.
He remains unindicted.

I’m torn! If you have ever been in the MN wilderness you don’t understand the beauty! The Boundry Waters is 1Million Sq.Acres of incredible water! I’m not sure I trust a mining operation to not soil it! Then it is WAY too late!!! I hate that Brandon did this! Hunters and fisherman are conservationists, not liberal girly men!

#17 - I understand the beauty there and the pristine waters but jobs are needed too. If not us mining, then who? China? Better us than them.

Re #4......radioactive? That's new info to me. Whenever the media says 'radioactive', I want to know HOW radioactive. A tritium watch dial is radioactive, but absolutely harmless.

Mining is the life blood of northern MN and there have been numerous mines there for decades near the pristine wilderness. This is punishment for formerly Democrat strongholds supporting Trump. I guess we can just depend on China, Russia, and other 3rd world countries for all our resource needs.
