Outrage as Nike fires fully-vaccinated
marketing manager from its Oregon HQ for
refusing to upload his COVID shot details
to third party app that wanted to share
his information with others

A long-time Nike employee was fired after refusing to supply his COVID-19 vaccination records to a third-party verification service used by the sportswear giant. Dex Briggs, 53, claims he was terminated from his marketing manager position at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon earlier this month after a 26-year run with the company—despite being fully-vaccinated against the virus.(Snip)It sees vaccination records uploaded to software created by unidentified third-party firm. That firm then has permission to share the information with others in an effort to confirm the vaccination, which Briggs—who has previously fallen victim to identity theft—found too great

Comments:

HIPPA was a joke, of course, but the important thing here is sharing; what could be more liberal than that? Also third-party corporations making money in exchange for nothing of value. This is America at its best, where we're at liberty to trade away our freedoms in exchange for less than nothing (here, exposing ourselves to identity fraud and who knows what else), or to lose our source of income.

#3, my understanding, when dealing with this myself, is that HIPPA fully allows "sharing" of information as requested by employers, who in turn can kick you to the curb for noncompliance. Like the man said, "They give you this and you pay for that."

An 80-tonne shipment of US anti-tank missiles has arrived in Ukraine—just the latest delivery of high-tech weapons aimed at inflicting maximum death and destruction on Putin's forces if he decides to invade. A plane loaded with 300 Javelin missiles worth some $50million landed in capital Kiev late Tuesday, the third part of a $200million shipment of American military aid that is being sent to help its ally. The shipment also contained grenade launchers, as well as ammunition and other non-lethal weapons systems, and comes in addition to other anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons already supplied by the UK, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Experts have warned that President Joe Biden's plan to shore up Europe's supply of natural gas if Vladimir Putin cuts off supplies won't work because other nations can't make up the shortfall. The Biden administration Tuesday said it is preparing to source gas from other countries in case Russia cuts off energy supplies—a scenario European allies fear will come to pass if Moscow invades the Ukraine. However, Samantha Gross, the Director of Energy Security and Climate Initiative at the Brookings Institution, told DailyMail.com that the imitative was doomed to failure. 'If Russia were to completely turn off the taps we can't make that up. Other suppliers can't make that up.

People who harass or bully others do so in order to validate to themselves that they are somebody. They learned this behavior from role models in their environment. Most often, they were harassed or bullied during their childhood or adolescence and they act out their hurt and frustration by treating others the way they were treated. It is a defence mechanism. “I will put you in your place and show my power over you, before you do the same to me,” is the unconscious thought process behind bullying.
