Anne Quiner’s husband Scott died in an undisclosed Texas hospital on Jan. 22 after Anne sought legal counsel to have him transferred out of Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, where doctors planned to take Scott off life support. “We got him too late in the process,” Quiner’s lawyer, Marjorie Holsten, told The Epoch Times. “We should have gotten him sooner. He was malnourished, dehydrated, and 30 pounds underweight.” Holsten said that doctors in Texas reported that they were shocked by Scott’s depleted condition when he finally arrived.

Comments:

Allowed to deteriorate in Minnesota hospital. So far gone that he could not be saved. Biden killed him. And Fauci. And the Minnesota hospital and its so-called “doctors". Those who have held back known - by experience - therapeutics.

I heard his sweet caring wife on two phone interviews. She described the relief at the wonderfully good and attentive medical care Mr. Quiner received upon transfer to the Texas hospital. My prayer is that this poor man’s family gets comfort knowing his last days were as peaceful and caring as his health care providers could possibly make them. God help all these money-hungry hospitals who have done this to so many patients. I saw it happen in my W Texas city. The family just were not the fighters Mr. Quiner had, sorry to say. I hope that Minnesota hospital suffers bankruptcy and dies.

I have heard nurses talking about them depriving covid patients of food and water. The people who signed off on this protocol should be seen in criminal court.

Sometimes being critically ill cannot be overcome. Been there and done that. Sometimes I’ve thought the lucky ones die. There is something called ICU Aquired Weakness (ICUAW) where most patients having up to 100% muscle wasting from just laying there while in a medically induced coma. The recovery of having to learn to walk again is hard enough never mind those who have to learn again to swallow, talk, eat and so forth. It is a very, very long and hard recover and usually not back to your baseline. I hope his family finds peace. If there was negligence that it is uncovered. That said being critically ill is called that for a reason and it’s not like you’re laying there sleeping and going to get up in a bit for a bowl of soup and a movie. As mich as we love our loved ones we have to be realistic.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was ushered into retirement by “left-wing dark money groups,” according to a statement Wednesday by Carrie Severino, president of the conservative Judicial Crisis Network. Breyer’s retirement was reported by the press before he himself made it, leading to speculation that it had been leaked by a White House eager to appease left-wing critics after its recent legislative failures — and worried about Republicans winning the Senate in 2022.(snip) Left-wing groups and elected Democrats had been pressuring Breyer to retire for months, fearful of repeating the experience of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death in 2020, which allowed President Donald Trump to appoint a third Supreme

As usual, the media coverage on the Ukraine crisis is largely inadequate. Perversely, most of the aggressive left-wing media want to escalate the feud with Russian President Vladimir Putin to the point of driving Russia into the arms of China. This is the only way Russia (whose GDP is smaller than Canada’s) could seriously damage the West. At the same time, some conservative commentators, including some of the stars at Fox News, are unreasonably accusing those who favor resisting Russian aggression in Ukraine of being warmongers and trying to propel America into endless, useless war. Again. There is a legitimate American and Western interest in not allowing Russia to trample

COVID-19 can be stopped without massive vaccination, renowned cardiologist and epidemiologist Dr. Peter McCullough told NTD’s “Capitol Report” program during the “Defeat the Mandates” march in Washington D.C., on Jan. 23. According to McCullough, early treatment and natural immunity are safe and effective against COVID-19, but federal health agencies have ignored these in a push for vaccines, the broad use of which is not needed. “The government has certainly been in an oblivion in terms of early treatment,” he said. Thousands of people turned out to march in protest against COVID-19 vaccine mandates—one of the largest U.S. events against the mandates since the start of the pandemic.

Deescalation appears to be accelerating over the Ukraine crisis given a number of rapid developments which have seen lead NATO countries break from the more bellicose and threatening tone of the United States and UK. After Germany's neutrality toward the Russia-Ukraine crisis became apparent, Sweden is the latest to follow its lead of forbidding arms transfers to Kiev, while Croatia is out with a firm statement saying it will recall all of its troops from NATO in the event of war. This followed on the heels of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announcing that circumstances in the region are now "under control" and that there's "no reason to panic" according to

It’s been a while, but the Marvelettes should consider coming back to rerecord their 1961 hit “Please Mr. Postman,” not to mention the MissBehave Girl Band who did a cover in 2019 and the Fab Four themselves, who did their own version back in the day. (Rerecording might be difficult for them.) The lyrics—“Mister postman look and see / Is there a letter in your bag for me”—are not sufficiently “woke” (i.e., “inclusive”), according to Microsoft. The corporation has introduced a (voluntary, for now) on-screen editor in their almost universally used Office software to guide us away from what they deem “non-inclusive” language to proper “wokespeak.” Hence, no more sexist “postman.”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Jan. 24 it is restricting the use of two monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19, saying data show such treatments are “highly unlikely” to be active against the Omicron variant, currently the dominant strain in the country. Monoclonal antibodies are laboratory-created proteins that mimic natural antibodies the body produces to fight off harmful pathogens, (snip) The agency revised its emergency authorization for the two COVID-19 treatments that come from Regeneron and Eli Lilly. Their use is now limited to when the COVID-19 patient is “likely to have been infected with or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to these treatments.”

DEL RIO, Texas—American taxpayers are increasingly funding the passage of a constant flow of migrants who ultimately cross illegally into the United States, according to new reports. A United Nations “cash-based interventions” program provides migrants heading to the U.S. border with debit cards, help with housing, transport, and medical assistance. The assistance is accessible in cities on the well-traveled routes from Latin America through Mexico. Thousands of migrants converge in southern Mexico where they apply for asylum—which gives them unfettered travel in Mexico—then most head directly to the U.S. border, where they cross illegally and claim asylum again. Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them.
