A large majority of Americans say they support restrictions on abortion, a new poll from the Knights of Columbus and Marist Poll suggests. In the survey of 1,004 adults, pollsters found that 71 percent of Americans think abortion should be heavily limited and only allowed in certain instances. (snip) Of the Americans who favor more regulation on killing unborn babies in the womb, 22 percent think abortion should be illegal beyond the first trimester. Another 28 percent think abortion should be allowed only in cases of rape, incest, or to save the mother’s life, while 9 percent say it should be allowed only when the mother’s life is threatened.

Very Interesting. However those that really care about this or any other issue need to fight right now to fix the massive election fraud! Nothing else is more important!

IF they wanted to end the abortion issue, make the morning after pill super available. Seems to me that would end it. WONT happen though cause some Republicans would see even that as murder, and dim-0s wouldnt go for it cause they dont want to lose the issue.

WE've known this for years...it's politicians and the planned parent brigade with their fingers in our wallets that want abortions...not ordinary moms and dads...I told my darling children when they went off to college...I better never hear you've aborted my grandchild...I'll search garbage cans to find them...thankfully they never did...they all became successful professionals and have happy marriages and many grandchildren for me...in fact some GREAT/grandchildren as well...God has been good to me!!

I just can't understand how it's bad to kill a big baby --- but it's okay to kill them when they are small! Seems to me that the smaller they are the more they need protection, not less. If it's illegal to kill someone who is born then why is it legal to kill that same person just before they're born? Same baby ... just time & space are different. If no heartbeat is the definition of being dead than having a heartbeat must be the definition of being alive .... no? So the baby is alive ... until someone stops its heartbeat! Seems obvious. The SCOTUS decision coming in late Spring will be the Battle of Yorktown, 1781. If we win (like Washington did) we get freedom! If we lose (like the Brits under Lt. Gen. Cornwallis did) we will remain a group of colonies ---- oppressed forever. If Roe doesn't die now it never will!

Abortion was presented as a panacea for child abuse, every baby would be welcomed. It was presented as liberating women and men from "forced teenage marriages", allowing them to go to college and begin careers rather than be tied down. They stripped from the sexual union its purpose of reproduction, as well as the resultant love and bonding between a couple. Abortion is the favored weapon in the communist war on the family, on men and on women. Our entire societal fabric has been ripped to shreds for fifty years. The innocent life in the womb is not the only victim. Men and women who participate in abortion also suffer the death of their soul which is manifested in substance abuse, promiscuity and pornography addictions. These behaviors often lead to subsequent abortions and the cycle of death continues. Among the 60 million mourned today, I personally mourn my three babies; Veronica, Simon and Bridget. I know they pray for me and their fathers. I believe their prayers helped to lead to my redemption after fifteen years of a sad and lonely life. I was ready to walk off an ocean cliff when Jesus grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back. That night I begged for someone to really love me and show me how to live. Two weeks later I received an apology letter from TK, a former beau I hadn't heard from in eight years. We were married a year later (1988). Then in 1995, our Lord Jesus gifted me with a mystical experience of His True Presence in the Eucharist at the funeral Mass of a woman who would have been the great-grandmother of two of my babies. I returned to my Catholic faith, been washed in the Blood of the Lamb and look forward to meeting my babies when the Father calls me home. There is life after abortion; eternally for our babies and ourselves if we ask for forgiveness. There will be life for our society and nation when we once again see abortion for the abomination that it is, and ask forgiveness from our God. Only another Great Awakening of the American soul will save us from our collective sin. In God We Trust...then MAGA

The US Constitution protects only "persons." The only way that slavery could exist in pre-Civil War America was by adopting a legal fiction that a slave was not a person. In present day America, the only way that elective abortions can exist (that is, abortions where the life of the mother is not in danger), is through the legal fiction that a fetus is not a person. If you believe that there is a God, who creates eternal souls and places those souls in mortal bodies at conception (which I believe, and which probably makes sense to the majority of US citizens), then there can be no question that a fetus is a person at the time of conception, with the right not to be killed without due process of law. Since it is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of souls, and when those souls are placed into mortal bodies by God, then all doubt must be resolved in favor of a helpless fetus, which in turn mandates that we recognize person status at the time of conception. For me personally, I totally agree with everything said above by Timber Queen.

On Friday, hundreds of thousands of pro-life individuals gathered in Washington, DC, for the annual March for Life. The mainstream media once again ignored the nation’s longest-running, largest protest. After all, it’s not like it involved five people standing in front of Glenn Youngkin’s bus or something. (snip) In the midst of all that, a man named Forrest Bennett stepped to the fore. Per his bio, he’s the state representative for the 92nd district in Oklahoma, and he had an idea to try to own the pro-lifers. Per Bennett, he was going to prove their hypocrisy by introducing a bill to require fathers to support their children beginning at conception.

It was the evening of March 31, 2014. I was 28 years old and preparing to move to Atlanta, Ga. from Newport News, Va. for a ministry assignment. As I was finalizing everything for the move, my father asked me to come downstairs. There was something he and my mother wanted to share with me. Expecting to receive a flurry of goodbye wishes, I hurried downstairs, but what he revealed to me was something else entirely, something that would drastically alter the direction of my life: I was adopted.

When some people acquire power, they act like wolves. They take whatever savage actions are needed to win and dominate. They turn their opponents and critics into sheep, who learn to be quiet or face vicious attacks and destruction. Think of Joseph Stalin killing his rivals. Think of the Castro brothers torturing, imprisoning and exiling political opponents. Consider the decay of Zimbabwe under Robert Mugabe, as political opponents were imprisoned, killed and exiled. Recall the ruthlessness of Hugo Chavez in taking over Venezuela.

Every year for the past 48 years, anti-abortion activists have gathered in our nation's capital to protest the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in all 50 states. This year, faced with the realistic prospect of that decision being overturned, hopes are at an all-time high. This is one important change that will make the annual March for Life feel different. A less striking change will be the large contingent of progressives and liberals who are turning up in greater numbers each year.

Associate Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Sonia Sotomayor put out a joint statement on Wednesday denying a recent report that Gorsuch refused to wear a mask during oral arguments, forcing Sotomayor to participate in proceedings remotely. National Public Radio legal correspondent Nina Totenberg claimed in a Tuesday column that Gorsuch refused a request from Chief Justice John Roberts that all justices wear masks during oral arguments as a result of Sotomayor’s fears about the Omicron variant. Sotomayor, who has diabetes, “has not attended the justices’ weekly conference in person, joining instead by telephone” as a result of Gorsuch’s refusal, Totenberg wrote.

It’s worth examining, then, how all that worked out in Seattle. Despite decades of the most aggressive equity programs anyone could ask for, Seattle’s racial disparities are among the worst in the nation – and they’re getting worse, not better.

We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
