The House Select Committee established to probe the Capitol riot is not interested in probing the Capitol riot.According to a Federalist analysis of the 84 subpoenas publicly issued by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee on Jan. 6, only 8 have targeted individuals or groups with any connection to the Capitol riot. The rest have taken aim at former government officials and private citizens in a smear campaign for exercising their constitutional right to protest. The 84 subpoenas do not include the more than 100 seeking the telephone records of individuals whose identities remain under seal, both from the public and from those whose privacy the committee seeks to violate.

Two years ago, how many people would have predicted that tennis's number one ranked player would be banned from competing in Australia and France for refusing to allow their governments to decide what is injected into his body? How many people would have predicted the construction of internment camps to house citizens who similarly refuse to comply? How many would have predicted that national leaders of "democratic" countries would demand censorship of dissenting points of view? How many would have predicted that tech and media companies would eagerly jump at those calls for censorship by actively deleting from the public square any voices contrary to

It’s a day since President Joe Biden’s press conference marking the first anniversary of his swearing-in, and I remain in the same state of horrified and stunned disbelief I experienced while watching it.I’ve always wondered what it would be like to see the behavior of an actual human being, as opposed to a character in a spy movie, who’d been given a shot of sodium pentothal. That’s what Biden was like at the press conference. Everything he said he probably shouldn’t have said, but he just couldn’t help himself. It was his Internal Monologue Made Exterior, and it was terrifying.

A flight from Miami to London Wednesday night turned around and went back to the point of departure because a passenger refused to follow the federal mask mandate on planes, canceling her flight and forcing her fellow travelers into hotels until they could re-book. The airline called Miami-Dade police and once the plane landed, officers escorted a woman off the plane at Miami International Airport Wednesday evening without incident. A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department said American Airlines staff dealt 'administratively' with the passenger, which involved her being placed on the airline's no-fly list

The murder of Democratic National Committee employee Seth Rich in July 2016 set off a frenzy of speculation, all related to the claim from Hillary Clinton’s presidential election campaign that WikiLeaks’ release of thousands of DNC emails was the result of Russian hacking. Unfortunately for the political Left, its handling of Rich’s murder over the years has kept its mysteries alive, such that they become ripe for reexamination. Here is some background: Rich, a 27-year-old DNC staffer, was murdered in the early morning hours of July 10, 2016, shot twice in the back. The police quickly wrote off the killing as a bungled robbery.

Majority Whip James Clyburn said Thursday while on CNN that the upcoming midterms will not be legitimate if “voting rights” aren’t passed, echoing a similar sentiment made by President Joe Biden Wednesday.“Do you agree with what he said in that press conference, are you concerned that without these voting rights bills the election results won’t be legitimate?” CNN host Kasie Hunt asked.(Tweet/Video) “I’m absolutely concerned about that,” Clyburn, a Democratic Rep. representing South Carolina’s 6th District said. “Let me remind the audience, that in 1965 at the time of the advent of the Voting Rights Act,

District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, Fani Willis, is requesting the formation of a grand jury to assist in an investigation into former President Trump’s phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, allegedly asking him to find the votes necessary to defeat Joe Biden in the state during the 2020 elections. Trump is already denying that any wrongdoing has happened, however.According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Willis sent a letter to Christopher S. Brasher, chief judge of Fulton County’s Superior Court, asking for the formation of the grand jury because a “significant number of witnesses and prospective witnesses have refused to cooperate with the investigation

Nancy Pelosi's new excuse for opposing a ban or limit on lawmaker's stock trading activity is that she always defers to 'trusting our members' and claims it's the Justice Department's responsibility to tackle insider trading.'I do come down always in favor of trusting our members,' the House Speaker said during her weekly briefing on Thursday. 'Now if the impression that is given by some that somebody's doing insider trading – that's a Justice Department issue,' she continued. 'And that has no place in any of this.'

President Joe Biden today used a script to offer his fulsome backing to Ukraine after he yesterday inflamed the invasion crisis by suggesting a 'minor incursion' by Russia would go unpunished. Biden said Thursday a move by any Russian forces into Ukraine would constitute an unacceptable invasion.Biden also said the U.S. would respond to any moves by 'Little Green Men', a reference to Russian soldiers posing as militia, as well as cyber actions and 'paramilitary tactics.' 'I've been absolutely clear with President Putin

President Biden’s marathon two-hour press conference Wednesday was an exercise in self-delusion. The reality of American voters’ lived experience of his presidency is evident in his plummeting polls after a hellish first year of self-inflicted crises, from Afghanistan to inflation to illegal migration. And yet the president declared to the world that he is doing a tremendous job and has “achieved more than any president in history.” He blamed Republicans for any stumbles, despite the fact that his party controls the White House, the House and the Senate.
