Patients are resorting to ‘DIY dentistry’ and pulling out their own teeth because they cannot get to see an NHS dentist, a report reveals today. More than half of Britons have not seen a dentist in the past year, with most saying they could not get an appointment. The deepening crisis has led to one in five people treating themselves at home–with some even carrying out their own extractions and fillings.(Snip)The problem is being fuelled by a growing number of practitioners giving up NHS work to focus on private treatment–around 16million people now no longer have a dentist. The report, published by Mydentist, the UK’s largest provider

Comments:

This defies all rules of Marxist logic and economic theory. When things are given away "for free," they become more scarce. When the numbers of people demanding the free services increase, the services become more expensive. And when providers' salaries are cut to address the budget shortfalls, the providers seek alternate employment, which exacerbates the shortages. AOC, who is the leading economic mind of the USA, would say this is pure systemic racism.

Western nations are firmly committed to mass importation of the world's poor from alien cultures so as to destroy any sense of national camaraderie and pride. So the NHS solution is to import even more foreign dentists and physicians in order to keep salaries down, which not only will lead to British providers leaving the nation entirely, but also drives home the fact that the British homeland is no longer their own.

I remember an American dentist telling me 40 years ago that British dentistry was two generations behind us. Given what the average Brit’s teeth looked like, I believed him. I hope they’re doing better in that regard. However, I think that American dentistry has made great advances that they wouldn’t have made if they had been working in a socialized healthcare system. I believe that’s their biggest problem.

Fortunately, our dentistry has not yet been entirely destroyed by "free medical care" as it has in the UK.

“ More than half of Britons have not seen a dentist in the past year…” I’d say that’s not out of the ordinary. I had a business gig in the UK back in 2012 and there was a woman in my class whose teeth were so hideous that I couldn’t look at her. Agree with #10.
