The accused Times Square subway psycho apparently wanted to make sure he killed his victim—waiting to push her onto the tracks just as the train was entering the station, an eyewitness told The Post on Sunday. Maria Coste-Webber said she was standing just feet away when homeless ex-con Simon Martial showed no emotion as he shoved tragic victim Michelle Alyssa Go, 40, in front of the train Saturday. “[Go] was about a foot and a half away from the end of the platform waiting for the train, and he was about 3 feet behind her,” Coste-Webber recalled. “He pushed her at the same time the train

No indication at all of it being a hate crime, despite the usual pattern of bLACK people targeting Asians with senseless random violence. Americans can't make heads or tails of it. Meanwhile, former Rotten Apple first lady Chirlaine McCray wasted over a billion dollars on her signature ThriveNYC program, which was supposed to solve the problems of the mentally ill, yet there are no results and zero accountability for where they money went. Best of all, as a black Marxist, McCray is immune from criticism; we know this as Equity.

I haven't ridden mass transit in NY since 1974/75 or any mass transit train since the late 80's (MARTA in Atlanta), but are the stations that crowded that you have to stand near the edge of the platform? If I was a woman (or anyone) riding the Metro anywhere I would have my back to the wall especially in light of this seeming common occurrence. Do these people not have any situational or current events awareness?.

I "second" #3's question. In the 70s and 80s I traveled to NYC regularly on business. I always made sure I knew who was walking next to me, behind me etc. When I was on an elevator I would get off if I was alone and someone got on who made me feel uncomfortable. I never used stairs if I was alone. Nasty things sometimes lurked in stairwells. Having heightened vigilance was so important to staying safe while in the city at that time. It boggles my mind that women in NYC now seem so nonchalant as they move around.

I was in NYC as a tourist for a week, before the Age of Covid. Used the subway daily. Guess what I did NOT do? Yep. I did NOT stand near the edge of the platform to wait for the train. Nope. A guy from Ohio, in NYC for the first, and likely only time...knew not to do that. And rather than do the practiced New Yorker act of pointedly not looking at or being aware of who was around me, I stayed situationally aware.

I decided long ago to never stand near the edge of the platform. I've traveled on subways in cities that most Americans have never been to, and couldn't find on a map. I have literally no idea what is in the mind of other random people just standing around. So we stand back, preferably with backs to a wall or sitting in a bench against a wall, so nobody is behind us. It costs nothing and can save your life. Situational awareness.

The fourth dose of the Covid vaccine is less effective on the Omicron variant and provides only limited defence, a preliminary study in Israel has found. Israel's Sheba Medical Center began administering a fourth vaccine to more than 270 medical staff last month during a trial program. Experts studied the defence of the Pfizer booster in 154 people after two weeks and the Moderna booster in 120 people—who had previously been vaccinated three times with the Pfizer vaccine—after one week. The clinical trial found that both groups showed increases in antibodies 'slightly higher' than following the third vaccine last year. But it said the increased antibodies did not prevent

An artist has accused Lego of recreating a leather jacket he made for Queer Eye cast-member Antoni Porowski without the artist’s permission, claiming that a toy jacket included in a Lego set based on the Netflix show is a “blatant copy” of his design. James Concannon, whose clothes have been regularly worn by Porowski on the popular program, filed a lawsuit against the Danish toy giant in a Connecticut district court last month. The designer, who is seeking damages, alleges that one of the outfits included in the set for Porowski’s figurine copies “the unique placement, coordination, and arrangement of the individual artistic elements” on the jacket.
