Ukraine was hit by a cyberattack splashing a warning across government websites to "be afraid and expect the worst", while Russia, which has massed 100,000 troops on its neighbour's frontier, released pictures of more of its forces on the move.
The cyber attack unfolded hours after talks wrapped up with no breakthrough between Russia and Western allies, which fear Moscow could launch a new military assault on a country it invaded in 2014.

RE# OP
NATO withers.....
There will be condemnations at the UN. Strongly worded speeches. Maybe some sanctions. Anything more and Russia cuts off their gas. NATO is not going to war over Ukraine.
Of course China, North Korea and Iran will be watching very closely. We have very little, if any, leverage over any of them.

This is a war that the DS wants us to get involved in. The MSM is onboard. Putin won't invade. But there might be people dressed up as Trump supporters, oh I mean Russian soldiers that might start something.

Sadly, I have many friends and former colleagues in Ukraine. I hope that they will remain safe, and able to heat their homes and feed themselves and their families.

The Ukrainian response? Hands up don't shoot. Biden the cheater doesn't even have his memo to Putie ready yet. When Ukrainian President Zelenskiy boards a helicopter and is flown to his place of exile, then we'll know that Putie is serious. He will invade Ukraine on the same day biden the cheater is scheduled to deliver his SOTU address on March 1st to make an example of a very weak Amerika.

Putin/Russia has divested of all US and EU currency/debt. Precursor to violent action?

Doesn't matter, it's going to happen and no one is going to stop them. Europe cares about buying Russian natural gas to keep from freezing to death a lot more than care about Ukraine. No way Russia and China doesn't capitalize on the Biden weakness sometime before the collapse of his regime. The question is if North Korea will as well in the aftermath. Or, maybe Mexico invades and takes back New Mexico. Don't worry about California, they don't want it. Even a nation with Tijuana has its standards.

As I have said previously, Putin believes that the breakup of the Soviet Union was (in his own words, translated) "The greatest calamity of the twentieth century". He wrote this in a master's degree paper in college. He sees his life's work as reassembling the Soviet Union under the name Greater Russia. He has been working towards this end since he came to power.
He will continue to do this until he is dead, I am sure. He sees this as a historic correction of a great wrong, and believes that he is doing an important "good thing".
That he is a dangerous, delusional, vicious monster....he doesn't see or care.

Russia made it very clear that Nato Expansion up to the borders of Russia is unacceptable. Blinken is an idiot and has pushed and opened the doors for several failed military adventures. Nuland is in on this and is simply a Neocon happy to start another war. Biden has not a clue. Obama started this with the color revolution in Ukraine. Russia will and should protect herself. Ukraine, although a flashpoint, is probably not where pain will be administered first. Russia is correct in its actions and it is the same response the US has just given if Russia were to put troops ad missiles in Venezuela or Cuba. So this government is leading us to war. The problem is we do not have a leader and NATO is useless. Difficult decisions lie ahead for all us,

In 1994 Ukraine agreed to relinquish the Soviet era nukes in exchange for security guarantees from the US, the UK and Russia. At the time the Ukraine had one of the largest nuclear arsenals in the world. So much for guarantees.

Why is NATO on the border of the Ukraine? Russia is no longer Communist. As always $/gas/oil. WWIV on the horizon. (WWIII is covid).

The Russians are turning up the heat. The Ukrainian government is now being subjected to cyber-propaganda. One considers that the Russians are in hacked control of their systems. Ready now...what should the US do if an invasion occurs? Send troops? Will that "coalition of the willing", a.k.a NATO, follow the Leader of the Free World into the fray? Is this the hill on which NATO dies? Or, simply withers.
