Ron DeSantis mocked the corporate media’s “nauseating” coverage of the Jan. 6 Commemoration at the Capitol Thursday, calling it “Christmas” for Democrats, and a “politicized Charlie Foxtrot,” using military slang for a poorly-managed operation, or “clusterf-ck.” ”This is their Christmas,” DeSantis said, meaning Washington and New York-based media outlets. “They are going to take this and milk this for anything they can to be able to smear anyone who ever supported Donald Trump,” he added. DeSantis made the remarks during a news conference about COVID-19 testing in West Palm Beach. The governor took a number of questions from reporters on COVID-related issues.

In an effort to capture the spirit of free speech and free-market capitalism, Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery in Houston is expressing its opinion about COVID restrictions in a highly-visible way on its roadside marquee sign: “No mask needed unless u look like Nancy Pelosi!”
Reaction to a December 30 tweet that, for some reason, called out the sign as “misogynistic” has been swift and polarized.
The restaurant’s sign has been used in the past to feature memes, jokes, and “funny quotes,” according to the owner, who is requesting anonymity for now.

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier appeared on the network’s “Fox and Friends” Thursday to shed light on what some are calling “Flurona,” a medical condition so named for those who have been diagnosed as having COVID-19 and the flu simultaneously.
Host Ainsley Earhardt laid out examples of the condition, noting that the CDC has reported only 79 cases of the double infection so far in the entire nation.
Dr. Saphier said, “I love the way that the media loves to sensationalize something, and I guess this will be our new headline for the next month.”
She explained that the “Flurona” is not a new mutagenic or variant of the COVID virus,
Sidney Poitier, the first black man to win an Academy Award for best actor in 1964, has died at the age of 94.
Poitier was known for his role as Dr. John Wade Prentice in the 1967 film Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. He won a variety of awards and was nominated to receive two more Academy Awards, 10 Golden Globes awards, 10 Primetime Emmy Awards, and one Screen Actors Guild Award.
His cause of death is currently unknown.
The fact that over 800,000 people in the United States have reportedly died from COVID-19 is barely noted by the corporate propagandists, no doubt because it isn’t politically useful now that Bad Orange Man is gone. According to sources breaking out of Comcast, MSNBC’s Joy-less Reid is going to get the ax. Her show is going to go bye-bye because they finally just had enough with her.
Now, obviously, I’ll caveat it with this isn’t an official word yet, but John Nicosia of News Cycle Media is the one reporting it and he generally has great sources when it comes to things like this.
“Joy Reid will lose her 7p show in the next round of reshuffling at MSNBC,” Nicosia tweeted quoting a source. “She does not have a show come mid Spring.”
