A top White House official on Wednesday said supply chain disruptions could continue into 2022 because the omicron variant could impact the supply networks both overseas and in the U.S.
“It’s hard to tell that the supply chain pressures have peaked,” White House Port Envoy Jon Porcari told reporters. “I think what is clear is that the pandemic laid bare what was the underlying reality, which was that the supply chain was stressed even before the pandemic.” Mr. Porcari‘s statement contradicts President Biden’s declaration that last month that supply chain failures and widespread consumer goods shortages forecast for the 2021 holiday buying season had not materialized.

Most inept administration in history. They can’t even coordinate their lies. Buttageig is a joke. He needs to just stay home and knit booties for the twins.

If a White House official is saying that "it's hard to tell" if the supply chain problem has peaked, I think we must conclude that the supply chain problem is about to get much worse.

I believe it was the Dearborn plant, where Henry Ford, a hundred years ago, took great pride in making everything that went into a Ford being manufactured at Dearborn.
That would solve the supply chan problem, hey?

HA!
PDT would have solved the whole issue by 12-1-21 with an ice skating rink on the side.

With the way that inflation is causing prices to skyrocket, while earnings are flat, pretty soon people won't have any money to buy anything. Then supply chain issues won't matter.
In Demon-Rat "logic", they will have "solved" the problem!!! And, sadly, the media will sing their praises for it!!!

Just go outside and count the number of loaded cargo ships at anchor waiting to get in.

One easy way to tell. Go to your favorite store and look at all the understocked shelves. If you see gaps in the merchandise reminiscent of a meth head's grill, then we probably still have a supply chain problem.

When Pete's toenail polish dries, he will have time to address the issue.
He's been silent lately, another "paternity" leave?

Petey ButtGig couldn't organize a trip to the bathroom even with help. Hey Pete. Where are the Christmas presents I ordered and paid for on December 3rd ? Name of the ship would do unless they're still in China.
Amazon will get me a 2 dollar repair part on my doorstep the next morning. Jeff Bezos for transportation Secretary.
Or maybe Santa Claus. He delivers everything in the world overnight and it's FREE.

So now they actually ADMIT there is a supply chain problem! Also saying supply issues started before the pandemic? So is this an admission they were working behind the scenes with China to slow the supply chain at the same time they were fielding the Wuhan Flu? Somebody on Pennsylvania Avenue needs to be waterboarded on National TV for all to see!

Reminds me of Clint Eastwood's line in Dirty Harry when he unholstered his "hog leg" .45 cal and asked the bad guy a question. When the man replied " Hard to say" , Harry cocked the gun, laid it upside the guys head and said " TRY to say it".

I'm sure that the new diesel 'shortage' limiting how much truckers can get at each stop, has nothing to do with it, or Kalifornias age limit for diesel trucks. No wonder Nasty Nan plans on retiring to the free state of Fla.!

With all the paper pushers in DC demanding incredible amounts of reports, they can't figure out if people are getting the goods they ordered? .Peppermint Patty could get on the phone to Giant Supermarket and ask them if they are getting deliveries on time. Would take 3 minutes at most.

The backlog at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach has hardly diminished. The Marine Exchange of Southern California is a ninety plus year old, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and efficient flow of maritime commerce throughout the region. Its records of ship arrivals and departures go back to 1923 in a string broken only by WW II. Working in close partnershiip with the U.S. Coast Guard, it has evolved into the Maritime Information Center for the Los Angeles - Long Beach Port Complex. As of yesterday, January 4, 2022,the Marine Exchange reports that there are 47 shipping vessels loitering at anchor off the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, plus 67 at berths either unloading or waiting to be unloaded, for a total of 110 vessels. The total compares with 109 berthed and queued ships on November 9, 2021.

Thanks for the link 14. It looks like there is plenty of access and dock space on the northernmost coast of Alaska; also through Hudson Bay.

No, it's not. I deal with it every day in my work. There's one group of products that has been out since last May, and everytime I look, the ETA is moved back -- August, September, December, March, now May 2022.
And this is often a moving target. Something is here today, gone tomorrow. And when you have these "out of stock situations," it often takes two or three replenishment cycles to get the supply situation back to normal. Globaly, I'm not sure we've even finished the first cycle.

Im in a business that has to order parts for installations and repairs on a daily basis. I ordered a POE switch three weeks ago. Normally, I get it in the next day. I still dont have it and dont know when I'll get it. Yesterday I drove 70 miles and went to 7 stores before I found an item that normally every one of these stores has in stock and in various configurations. I bought the last one. Yesterday I ordered a part that I would normally receive within a week. It's ETA is sometime in March. Its been like this for months and has in fact gotten worse. Went to Walmart this evening. Lots and lots of empty shelves.

of course, but it's even more difficult to tell something about something if you're not paying any attention to it. Are you now, or have you been, a member of the Communist Party?
