O.J. Simpson says his cats always ran

Turns out that O.J. Simpson was both a fan and friend of Betty White, who he said was catnip to his two felines. The two were neighbors, with Simpson living at his now notorious Brentwood, Calif., estate — when his missing cats repeatedly turned up at White’s North Carmelita Street home a few blocks away. The pets, Bugsy and Sashi, were Abyssinians who “liked to hunt and normally they’d be in my backyard going through a lot of drama with these mockingbirds in this willow tree of mine but one day we couldn’t find (one of them,)”

You're a double murderer. Do not care about your human interest story even in the unlikely case it is true. Nothing you can ever say will be heart warming or bring a smile to anyone's face ever again.

Was this before or after the murders? I can’t imagine Ms.White being comfortable speaking to him if after.

Nice try, O.J. She probably put cat food outside. You’re still a vicious murderer. Always will be. Latching onto Betty White after she has passed on is a cheesy trick. How typical.

Why sully this fine woman’s memory by associating her life with the life of this murderous heel?… I would love to hear what Ms. White’s unvarnished opinion was of Mr. Simpson.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to step down at the end of this Congress after nearly two decades in Democratic leadership, and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries is the new favorite to lead the party. While Jeffries, N.Y., chair of the House Democratic Caucus, is the favorite, the debate over who will succeed Pelosi, Calif., could lay to bare the deep divide between progressives and moderates. Future leaders of the party could differ in their ideas for how to counter the GOP, as they brace for the possibility of serious losses in the midterm elections.

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden

Frequent consumers of news may be aware of Gallup's annual poll measuring the "most admired man" in America which is typically announced a few days before New Year's. The poll was done yearly from 1946 through 2020, with 1976 the only year that was skipped. NewsBusters pointed out a year ago that liberal news media lost interest in the annual poll after Donald Trump started edging out Barack Obama for first place, whereas the networks previously enjoyed using the survey to embarrassing Trump as sitting President failing to come in first place. This year, a Google search conspicuously shows no sign that Gallup conducted such a poll

WASHINGTON — Days before the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the Senate will vote on filibuster rules changes to advance stalled voting legislation that Democrats say is needed to protect democracy. In a letter Monday to colleagues, Schumer, D-N.Y., said the Senate “must evolve” and will “debate and consider” the rules changes by Jan. 17, on or before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as the Democrats seek to overcome Republican opposition to their elections law package. “Let me be clear: January 6th was a symptom of a broader illness — an effort to delegitimize our election process,”

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.

A couple of months ago, a woman paid a visit to Jeff Schrier's used car lot in Omaha, Nebraska. She was on a tight budget, she said, and was desperate for a vehicle to commute to work.
