Adele is reportedly 'paying $58million' for Sylvester Stallone's Beverly Hills mega mansion which sat on the market for the better part of the year. The 33-year-old vocal powerhouse is adding more real estate to her Los Angeles portfolio and is 'in escrow for Sly's massive home,' according to TMZ sources. The 18,587 square-foot home was designed by Richard Landry and is situated in the exclusive guard-gated enclave of North Beverly Park, and boasts eight-bedroom and 12-bathrooms.Sylvester had been working hard to sell the mega mansion that he purchased in the '90s, and initially listed the beautiful home for $110million, but there were no takers.

I'm surprised Adele has that kind of money being that she's had only one real hit song and appears to record an album once every five years. I suspect the money to buy this place came from Oprah who seems to be her best bud.

3.5 acres in that location is indeed massive, since most estates are lucky to have maybe half to 1 acre of land. People like Adele buy properties like this, mainly because when they are having parties and people staying over for business, they have room to have those guests, and nobody feels squeezed. I have never been so glad for my house up to now after reading these articles. Mortgage free, and except for the tax bill, all ours.

More activism. More overt grabbing readers and viewers by the lapels and scaring them. "Shout it from the rooftops," she insisted.

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.
